Versatile, quick, good work rate. Prone to the odd lapse in judgement as all our defenders are. In the second division should prove a class above.

Think most of the comments have covered it mate, but I'd say that Freeman's biggest problem is he doesn't get close to his man enough/doesn't mark well. He also allows wingers to cut inside a lot but all of ours do it seems! That's the negatives, the positives are he likes to attack and overlap the winger. He's a "modern" full back in that regard. I can see him doing well for you guys, particularly in League 2. League One is his standard. All the best in going up.

I'm also sorry to see him go...Modern day Full Back,who's comfortable on the ball and gets forward well and also links up well...can chip in with the odd goal...Defensively there's a few question marks,like most Full Backs,but Freeman played with Baxter or JCR in front of him who are not as good providing cover,while Brayford gets more help off Coutts.
I wouldn't put him ahead of Brayford,but was usually a 6 or 7 out of 10 most weeks to be fair...easily good enough for L2 for me.

In all seriousness, he's nowhere near as bad as some like to make out.

Not a problem playing at our level and should be fine at yours. Better going forward than defending but that can be said of some very good full backs like Kyle Walker (he's not on the same planet as KW before you get excited).

He will be fine in League Two. He's distinctly average on a good day in League One, just like most of our squad.

If you've brought him in to do a job in a very very poor league he will do it. Good attitude, tries and very occasionally does something good.

He seemed to be targeted by the opposition (often aerially), which might be one reason Adkins decided to let him go.

Freeman was comfortably one of our better players at the start of the season. He's a good footballer who likes to put his foot on the ball and get forward. But he suffers through not having made one position his own. He's not defensively strong enough to be our first choice full back, and isn't really a winger either.

I rate him and would keep him to back up both fullback positions next season. He's also of an age where he should only improve. If a Div2 side get him they're onto a winner.

Easily good enough for League Two... it was only a few months ago that many on here were singling Freeman out as the most consistent and reliable in the team - some went as far as "first name on the team sheet" if I recall correctly. In hindsight he was the best of a bad bunch at the time.

I'd describe him as one of those players who is 6.5 out of 10 every week - sometimes you'll get a 4/10 and sometimes an 8/10. Let's not forget he's also still fairly young so I think he's a great find for Pompey
