How long before we get overlapping cb's on football manager series of games?

(and for all you non-gamers... yes it does matter because it shows global recognition for CWAK's system as being a modern, emerging tactical system... UEFA have allegedly paid tribute in their latest coaching badges training)

You actually couldn’t do this in the last series of the game. The match engine just did not allow it.

Indeed, hopefully they include an overlapping option for cb roles this year... or in the team instructions!

Wouldn't they have to develop a new M.E in order for this to work?

I remember when people used to get a football and get outside on some grass with their mates. You could play whatever tactics you liked rather than relying on what some dweeb has developed on a computer. Kept you fit too.

I remember when people used to go to the pub to complain about things with their mates instead of doing it on a computer.

Longtime FM/CM players will remember the Diablo tactic in CM03/04. Probably the most famous tactic in the history of the game, it basically broke the game engine because the AI couldn't handle it. With the right signings you could take a lower league club up through the leagues and onto success. The way forward was to sign undervalued players other clubs didn't want and use the tactic to improve them and get them playing consistently better (flipping them for better players when the opportunity presented itself).

It's amazing to consider that CW/AK have done this in real life. They broke the game engine.

still possible! you can also play on pc’s too, although the grass variety is preferable of course :)

Ahhh the good old days.

Muck n nettles.....muck n nettles....

FM (all of them) and CM 01/02 are the reason I'm not productive and or successful

Then you'll be glad... (wife maybe not so?) that you can download CM 01/02 for free and can grab the latest squads with free patches...

With consent, i rather share the company of a nice lady.

I think your my hero by posting that link! Love 01/02, still the peak game for me. Tried with some FMs but the most recent ones have been to advance and I’ve not found them as enjoyable
