At 1st I thought it meant ru happy it's a break, then saw rest of title so changed me vote you have to be happy with how we've started. I think by end of Sept no reason we shouldn't be into double points Saturday in 2nd half must have picked them up so much, Moose was ecstatic when that goal went in as was Robinson. I feel that is Robbo's personal monkey off his back in that he's been trying too hard to score, now he's got 1 they should come naturally.

Very happy with our start. but the strange thing for me looking back is we could have had even more points on the board! Probably could have won yesterday if we hadn’t shot ourselves in the foot a couple of times . But it’s been great so far, and do believe we can play better. so it’s all good

At this stage three years ago, we had managed one single point from our opening sequence of Bolton, Rochdale, Southend and Millwall.

So I'm happy.
Yes Geordie it's unbelievable look at other 4 now, and Bolton almost folded but we're in PL.

It’s almost like deja-vu.

When we went up to the Championship, everyone said how the gap between league 1 and the Championship was massive. The pundits had us down to be near the relegation places. Our first match was against Brentford and immediately I saw a massive increase in standard and I was worried.
We had an average start, winnings few and losing a few adjusting to the higher standard.
Opposition teams always seemed to have off-days playing really poorly when we came to town.

This season, again everyone is saying that the gap between the Championship and the Premier League is huge. The pundits have us down as relegation cents,
Our first home match was against Palace and first half they seemed bigger and stronger than us, an increase in standard and I was worried.
Again this season we’ve had an average start, winning a few, drawing a few losing a few adjusting to the higher standard.
And yet again opposition teams seem to be having their worse performance of the season when they play us.

We’re still adjusting and finding our feet, so like in previous seasons I expect us to greatly improve as the season progresses.

Wouldn’t surprise me if we’re comfortable mid table all season.
Like in the Championship , if we stay up then for the 2nd season the pundits will say teams won’t be underestimating us and will work out our tactics.

Expect Wilder to strengthen again next Summer when he knows the league and have us challenging for a Europa League spot.
Seems hard to believe......but anything seems possible under Wilder.

Again this season we’ve had an average start, winning a few, drawing a few losing a few.
Thought we'd only lost 1, before ball was kicked I tipped Wolves to struggle with 2nd season syndrome.

Foxy can you set it so that it shows who has voted no, please? Many thanks!
👍 I don’t know why this one’s not viewable when others have been, but looking back the various polls over the last 3 seasons you do kinda get an insight into what makes this forum tick. There‘s a few ‘OOOODATHOUGHT IT’s amongst them also some could be down to fat fingers and knackered eyesight.;)

Absolutely fucking elated. Pre season I'd have taken a draw at Bournemouth, targeted Palace as a potential win, thought we might get a point vs Leicester and then get dicked by Chelsea away. Bang on the money points-wise, just got a couple of results the wrong way round.

Superb start, we've shown what we're about, and mixed it with the best. Barring a 1 in 1000 strike from Harvey Barnes, we'd be 8th. As it is we're 10th, in the top half of the Premier League, unbeaten away, and scored in every game. It's utterly bonkers to be sat here, just 3 years on from being rock bottom of League 1 with 1 point from 4 games. These are magic times we're living in.

There cannot be a blade anywhere that isn't happy, every time I bump into a blade it's exactly the same smile and conversation and you never get tired of talking about it even though it's the same chat and everybody is agreeing, we are all enjoying the moment, my wife tells me to calm down so I go onto the owls talk forum to be bring me down a bit but no it's absolutely brilliant on there, not a good time to be a Wendy,if ever it was, in Bullen we trust, just give him until Christmas.

How can anyone be unhappy with this start to the season? It's not perfect and we've made a few mistakes but we've competed in every game.

Whilst the forum is a broad church and it is often interesting to hear the views from dissenting voices, anyone who votes 'NO' wants tarring and feathering, or at least pointing back to S6.
It's a misleading thread title and I voted without reading the post.

I voted no for two reasons

It's international break. Are you happy? - No, I hate international breaks.

It's international break. Are you happy? No, I'm a miserable twat!

It makes me chuckle when people say we could have had more points. 2 of our 5 points were rescued in the dying minutes of matches. The way that these 4 games have gone is a testament to our spirit and our fitness. Miss out on the late goals against Bournemouth and Chelski and concede a late one to Palace and we’re on 1 point. Far more important than points is our last 10 minutes record 2-0. That’s what will give us the confidence to move forwards. Finishing games well is so important at this point in the season. This team is built on Wilder steel, and that is what will carry us through.

Obviously am but also slightly disappointed (but I think that's weridly a good thing)

Could have easily had another 3/4 points again Chelsea and Foxes, which just shows how far we've come though.
Warning, wanker post incoming....
But, no combination of results would have seen us gain an extra 4 points from the Leicester and Chelsea games!
I did warn you!

I thought we’d be ok this season, but didn’t expect us to look so comfortable so quickly. It’s staggering to think where we’d be without the uncharacteristic mistakes and if we’d actually shown some belief earlier in games.

And that our conceded goals read: unlucky after good save, individual error, wonder strike, individual error, communication error, I’m not at all worried. If we’d been caught out leaving too much space at the back, or been carved apart by vastly superior quality then I’d worry that we’d struggle to bridge those gaps quickly enough. But we’ve been balanced in our approach, we’ve carried on playing our way and we don’t look out of place. In fact Stevens has looked one of the best players in the division so far.

For us to be saying we could have had more points and that there’s more to come, both in our usual improvement over the season and in new signings, is incredible. That a big debate this weekend was over who scored our second goal at Chelsea speaks for itself.

So, happy with the start we’ve made? Absolutely, how could we not be? But the answer to the question would have been yes if we’d been bottom with no points and no goals, because we have the best management team the club has ever seen, and the best in the league. Dem Blades are going places.

It’s only 4 matches so I’m cautiously optimistic, it’s a good start but it’s not spectacular either. We’ve got a big game against Southampton coming up where expectations will be on us to win, the mood will certainly change on here if we don’t get the 3 points.

One bonus to me is that we are still in the League Cup, I do believe we should be giving both cup competitions a decent go this year. If we’ve confidence in our ability to stay up, we shouldn’t fear a cup run.

Averaging 1.25 points per game so far, if we carry on like this for the rest of the season we will finish on 47 points.

But we have not started playing to our full potential yet :D

We lost the the first 3 games of last season, which didn't turn out too badly.

So, happy yes, but looking forward to becoming delirious.

Let the Moose loose.

Very happy. Shows how far we have come when we are perhaps thinking it could have been even better had we not made some errors.

Very happy but not too surprised that we’ve got a few points, however we need something from Southampton at home after the break.

The really good sides will do doubles against us so we need to bring the best we can in the games against the bottom half teams..

Hard not to be arrogant because Southampton are another great side, but they are definitely in our mini league of also rans, we come out the traps well - we could pinch all the points..

Very happy, I'd have still been happy had we lost at Chelsea, the sooner we build up points, the better and up to now we're on our way. Just hope this International Break doesn't stop any momentum we had.

Next poll after 10 games brownie , thats when it all starts to settle down.

If we are level games/points by the end of November then December gets that bit easier.

Lets hope for a resounding further poll at the year end😛

Do you know, I'm sort of toying with the idea of saying. no!

Pre-season expectations have been exceeded, so I suppose I'd have to be delighted with how things are.

But, I think we could have got more out of the Bournemouth game. But for a worldy, we get a point against Leicester (who will challenge the top 6). We made two very uncharacteristic mistakes against Chelsea and I think we could and possibly should have won that game.

I think the break may have come at the right time. Sit back analyse the games so far and collectively look at things, the players must now realise they are more than good enough, the system works and they can pick up points. Go again with greater confidence and belief. If we lacked anything it was that belief, hopefully the Chelsea 2nd half has instilled it in bucket loads.

who the heck are voting no. whose looking at the table seeing us 8th, level on points with man utd spurs chelsea. thinking this is crap.

no pleasing some people we could make the european competition & these would complain it europa not champions

Tarring and feathering or a lifetime at S6 for you my lad!

Or cake......

Or death.....

Great start to the season. I hate international breaks though, we always play wank first game back.

Ive changed my no to yes. I thought the topic was saying are we happy there's an international break so the players can rest etc.

I voted no because the international break is absolute bollocks. All football must cease for a week so overpaid pundits can have a wankfest over Southgate's "Young Lions"- Even teams with no internationals can't play, because some people might prefer to watch them instead of England.

Who are we playing? Bulgaria, that's who, and not playing until Saturday so teams containing England players could easily play tonight. But oh no, overpaid millionaires can's play a full games and then another five days later.

The who are we playing next week? Kosovo, for fuck's sake. Is it even a country? I don't think it's got UN recognition, has it? But wait no, it's a huge game - huge enough to cancel all the rest of the PL fixtures.

The qualifying rounds for the Euros and World Cup are as dull as ditchwater. I'd rather watch Parliament TV.

The international fixtures need a huge overhaul. Fix the ranking system, do something like the FA Cup where the lower teams play earlier qualifying rounds. Do something so that we don't end up with utterly pointless fixtures disrupting the season and draining everyone of all interest in the national side.

Satisfying to compare our start to what BT’s terrible idea ‘The Script’ had us pegged for.

“Never finish a gameweek in the too half”. We’ve not finished one out of the bloody top half yet!
