This caught my eye, essentially it seems to be saying that the Prince can boost spending at the club whilst we are in league one. It will be very interesting to see what happens on that one. Personally, I don't want to see us as a rich mans plaything but it would be very useful to have the ability to build a squad rather than being forced to sell the Crown Jewels yet again. It makes the possibility of resigning Brayford and Cody more feasible at least.

Potentially it could still be a problem were we to achieve promotion as the Championship has yet to confirm the exact model they will be adopting. It does clarify why Bournemouth were able to spend there way out of the division and why Coventry seem so confident that they can continue to run what is clearly a budget well above any possible football related turnover. Perhaps they won't be forced into selling Wilson after all.

Yes, not well explained before so it's good to see it in black and white. You can add Brentford and Bristol City to that list. Possibly Rotherham owner also putting in some extra at the moment.

It has worked for Bournemouth and Brentford both of whom have wages double their turnover to get out of the division.

Hopefully we won't go mad (it would be just our luck to fuck it up somehow) but the Prince would be well advised to add a couple of "expensive" strikers to our wage bill and see if we can do the job next year.

What you can't do is fund expansion through loaned money. But it does make you wonder why they went to all the trouble in the first place. Those with money will eventually succeed.

A recipe for a bizarre situation where the prince could feasibly buy his way out of the division next year, only to find he has to reign it in the year after and see us tumbling back into league 1.

Modern Football eh? Shite.
