Even Banks would not be able to anticipate the dip and swerve of the footballs used now. The old ones got heavy with absorbing moisture, and hurt like hell if they came at you full pelt, but at least they generally came at you in a straight line...

I seem to say the same thing every week. Even if he is not the main culprit when we concede a goal, he still just doesn't do his bit right with any sort of quality or confidence.

There is no way you can blame him for that second goal, but if we just had a goalkeeper that was getting things right, the penalty was preventable.

Outfield players will make mistakes in every single game at the end of the day. If they didn't there would be hardly any goals. Your goalkeeper is there to bail them out as the last line of defence, and I can't remember Ramsdale ever doing that this season.

The simplest thing they teach you as a keeper is you don’t come halfway and stop. Watch it again - he comes charging out and stops. What do you think is going to happen when you do that?

if you’re coming off your line there, you have to get the ball. Otherwise you stay put and narrow the angle when he gets closer.

It’s Bryan’s fault for a woeful backpass, but Ramsdale makes shocking decisions every time he comes off his line. He did it earlier in the game and Basham came to the rescue. He did it against Man U. He d it all the time.

I’m not making him a scapegoat but it is a major area of his game that needs serious work.

It's just not football anymore, did you notice virtually every time Mount got the ball he dived, thankfully most weren't given but by the ref giving in to VAR and giving the penalty these cheats will continue to dive!

This is what I don't get.

When McBurnie ran into Rudiger = no penalty as Rudiger just stood his ground.

When Werner runs into Ramsdale = penalty as Ramsdale stopped him scoring.

IMHO either both are penalties or neither of them are
