For those of you interested in this sort of thing:

Notts fans on JCR:

"Slightly disappointed, but that's all. He was poor at best for eighteen months, albeit superb at the end of last season. Considering his age, too, he wasn't worth really pushing the boat out for. Good luck to him, though, always put the effort in."

"Disappointed if both he and Sheehan go to Sheff U. I'd be more disappointed if I was a Blades fan though. These were standout players in a sh!t team last year, and would expect to be strictly bench material for a side pushing for promotion."

"not that bothered to be honest. yes he played well towards the end of the season but prior was pretty poor."

"He was a decent player in a crap side"

"This is a big loss in my opinion."

"In terms of Sheff Utd, it's a very peculiar signing indeed for a team trying to go for automatic promotion."

"I think Sheffield United have a bargain"

"he was blistering for a couple of months. A couple of months in 2 years isn't really good enough though."

"Not a great signing for them IMHO and that's honestly not sour grapes."

"JCR is too greedy on the ball so i'm sure we can replace them."

"He ran around a lot, worked hard and had little end product for most of his time at Notts."

"A shocking loss. I reckon JCR's name was pencilled in for next season and Derry & Abbott will be very disappointed"

Livi fans on McNulty:

"It's probably time for him to get a fresh challenge. Good luck to him wherever he ends up. He has done well for Livi."

"IMO he still has a lot of maturing to do before he makes it at a higher level. Never quite became the goal machine he was tipped to be during his u-19 career here."

"Def has ability but just doesn't score as much as you'd expect and does it in fits and starts."

"been a good player for us and we'll miss him."

"Sad to see him go but there was no chance of us keeping a hold of him, he'll be really hard to replace."

"I think, for his own good, he's got to go this summer. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to keep him but if he doesn't bang them in next season, he'd mayeb miss the chance for a decent move. Lyle Taylor was on-loan at Partick this season from Sheff Utd and if McNulty went down there and taylor returns too, could see those two forming a fantastic partnership with Scougall in behind."

"Sparky's got an undoubted natural goalscoring talent - the type of player who can be out of a game for most of the 90 minutes then bang you in a winning goal out of nowhere (much like Saturday actually!).

He had a bit of an off spell around about the time he went on trial at Derby but it seems that he's got back to knuckling down and it's shown in his performances - certainly no surprise to see him up the top of the goalscoring charts in the league."

Sounds like both players would benefit from having better players around them, and surely that will happen ?
JCR will be a great impact player from the bench, and keep Murfs and Flynnaldo on their toes..
Mr Mac,is still a youngster, and a striker at that, and if he can't learn off our own ex england striker manager, then there's summit wrong!
Two decent signings IMO,and showing us which way we're going ..and that is up !!!!!
:D

If JCR , thinks he will get away with swinging the lead here , under Mr Clough then he's in for a snotty drop., but reading his interviews
he seems to be getting with the programme of knowing what's expected , ie hard work , and with the way we're playing now hitting teams quick on the break I like the signings so far , another 3 / 4 and we could do. A wolves next season and get a team too strong for this league .
However if your not going to work hard for the team , follow the exit marked scumbag King .

So the sort of thing you would expect from any football forum. Comments from Bollocks we should have kept him to he was shit.

2 Spring to mind .
1. - If he's doing well Nuttsie ,
2.- If he's not " lazy jock cunt " rolls of the tongue quite easily .

I'm liking 1 a lot.
e.g. When spotting him around town with his ex-Livi team mate. "Look lads, is that Nuttsie and Scoogs over there?".

I'm struggling with the ck c connection in two. "Lazy Scots cunt" or "Lazy Jock twat" flows better for me.

Makes sense when you look at the sentence you have omitted from the quote.

They've lost two of their first teamers to us yet we should be more disappointed? There is no logic in that I am afraid. If we lost Maguire and Murphy to Man Utd for free, who in their right mind would say they should be more disappointed than us?

Just a bitch-slap dig at us. We're supposed to be a big club at this level, but are buying cheapo players from Notts Crapty.

im not over the moon with the JCR signing. Brandy is a better player and younger for me, cant see JCR lasting for more than a season. Never heard of McNulty but sounds ok, will give both my full support when on the pitch of course.
