Draw is made tomorrow, 1.30. We are number 38.

Hastings away anyone?

Decent draw in my opinion, should be a decent atmosphere, some good ale to be had in Bristol and a new ground for me to top it off. Bring it on.

I went to Bristol Rovers' old Eastville ground when the Blades were managed by Jimmy Sirrell in the late 70`s but I haven't visited their new stadium yet. Will deffo be up for this one.

Oh dear. We haven't beaten Bristol Rovers away is it ever? Seem to recall a thread on this incl Dazza details a few weeks ago.:(

BF - As I remember, we got turned over 4 - 1 that day too, last game of the season @ 77 / 78. :(

Also just to add to the gloom we lost the Watney Cup Final there - Ted Oh Ted Ted Hemsley!

However, ever hopeful time for Danny to bury the hoodoo.

I've been to the Memorial Ground to see the Boks v England. Also seen BR v Blades at both Eastville (twice I think, lost one drawn one) and at Twerton Park. For those going it might br the one and only chance as apparently they are on the move again to the University of Western England (which could be anywhere from Swindon to Penzance). Enjoy!

Interested in this one. It's a shame it's so close as the train is now pricey.

played at bristol 12 times lost 7 drawn 5 , never won
drawn last 2 visits the last visit was Jan 14th 1989, 23 years ago so form guide is non existant

Seen United at Bristol Rovers twice and never seen them play um in Bristol!

January 1989 at Twerton Park Bath and a pre-season at the Hand Stadium, Clevedon about ten years ago. Two draws.

It is true that we have never ever won away at Bristol Rovers, but remarkably in spite of that we have never yet failed to score there either.

Coventry are at home to Arlsely Town , no never ever heard of them , no idea where Arlsely is, other than darn sarf
Metropolitan Police have got Crawley. cant wait

  1. funniest away match ever at Eastville when someone set the tied hare going and someone tied a blades scarf round its neck while the match was on.

What are the chances of getting tickets for this? - when you don't have many loyalty award points, or whatever they are called.

Up to about 1000 in the uncovered terrace, just depends if they give us any more (and if many can be arsed to go).

I was absolutely jumping for joy when number 38 came out for this one! After driving up from Bristol to Preston yesterday its now just a short bus ride to the Memorial Stadium for me on the 3rd.
A few of my mates who are gas heads have been texting me all day they are buzzing for this one, well we are the biggest club in the draw, maybe another sky viewing??
Got to say not the greatest ground in the country and if it rains we'll get wet! but a cracking cornish pasty is available.
It is a shame that we have Swindon away 3 days later at the county ground as I can't see many doing the two trips, however i'm sure the Blades who do come down for the cup match will be in great voice like we all were yesterday! Hopefully we get the win, get our name in the hat for the second round and also will be great to keep my mates quiet!
Oh the magic of the FA Cup! Up the Blades!!!

I was thinking that myself. Was happy with the draw until I realised the date of the game!

I'll be driving to both of these so I may get a weird sense of déjà vu on the Tuesday :D

Not the only one :)

Think we've got room in the car for Swindon if you need to jump in.

My only trip to Brizzle Roverzz was to Eastville, must have been about '82ish and some delightful locals were stood on the overpass behind the away terrace chucking stuff at us. Can't remember the score but I do remember the whole experience being a bit surreal, the burnt out stand on the right and the home fans seemed miles away at because of the oval ground and dog track.
