Brilliant second half performance what a season he is having. Never known a player turn around his reputation within a few months,. His timing for tackles is exceptional.

I rate him, but thought he had his quietist game for some time. Tidy but no more than that

I don't think we've ever seen the defensive midfield role played to such outstanding levels by anyone in a Blades shirt. Plenty of others have done well in a destructive/containment sense, but I can't remember anyone so cool and calm on the ball when they've just won it and use it so intelligently on the counter.

I can’t remember who said this, but when the Brazilians started to come across to play in England, one manager said that it will take a year for most Brazilian players to settle in and learn how to play in our league before we’ll start to see the best of them. I know he’s playing against inferior opposition than last year but it certainly seems to ring true with Souza.
