As the season died its final, slow, agonising death this evening, and to celebrate the exciting prospect of the player of the season award dinner thingy, how about some alternative awards?

  • Most embarrassing loss of the season? Travelling to and losing to rock bottom of the league an early favourite
  • Shittest player? Hot category here, Hammond and Sammon the front runners
  • The James Beattie Flu award for worst boardroom attempt to mislead us? Promising the Murphy money would be reinvested and "keep in touch until January" and the spending bugger all leading here
Get your votes in, or add some categories.

It's a golden age we're living in.

Most nieve award will be contested between Jim & HRH

Third one is the hardest to call. Contenders are

Selling Murphy
Saying Murphy didn't need to be sold
Saying Murphy money would be reinvested then not bringing anyone at all in January
Thinking the team was good enough in August and not signing anyone at the end of the first window
Not signing anyone at all in January despite Adkins saying "Keep in touch till January" for the previous 5 months
The statement Jim released and the poll at the end of it
Saying "We kept top talent" with a straight face

Might have missed some

I'm doing a proper end of the season awards thing for my blog when the 46 games are finally up. Looking forward to seeing some of the comments. I always send it to Jim too so maybe he will comment on it like he did last season

The WHF award for Worst video evidence for Sammon being a good player.

The Jim Phipps Award for Biggest lie regarding bringing players in towards the end of a transfer window.

The Curly Watts award for sponsored by Specsavers for the person who sees Hammonds unseen work.

The Louis Reed Award for the managers latest scapegoat.

The Endeavour award for bullshitting the fan base

The Pathway for Youth award for the biggest budget cutbacks

Most embarrassing loss? Bury away. Worst player? Bloody hell............... where to start? cant really understand the hatred for Hammond, there's much worse out there, Collins, Jay Mac, Sammon spring to mind.

Can I personally add a dirty protest before its sent?

The Geese in the room for improvement award for making BDTBL a shithouse where the turds can't be flushed away.

Worst performance.

Burton at home. By some way. And that is saying something.
Bury away made the Burton performance look reasonable.
It was probably one of the most woeful "couldn't give a fuck" performances I've seen from united since we've been down here

Worst player. Hammond
Runners up. Sammon, Woolford.

Worst decision. Signing Hammond
Runners up, Signing Sammon, making Maceverly captain.

Biggest twat. Baxter
Runners up. Adkins, Collins.

Bullshiter award. Adkins
Runner up McCabe.

The sticking it in at one end award; Billy by a mile. The keeping it out at the other end; err err struggling with this one

Someone should do a "twat of the year" vote, then send the results to the entire board along with one of those old subbuteo cups engraved with the "winners" name. Obviously, it would have to be a "without Jose Baxter" vote.
