he was getting abused by some fans and he gave some abuse back to one person in particular. Some fans reacted badly and started chanting 'wanker' at him. Some fans pointed out if you abuse someone,don't get upset if you abuse back.

Anyway,at the end of the game,he came right over to the fans to the person her abused,had a chat,apologised and they both shook hands. The fans clapped Doyle.

Fair play to Doyle for coming over to apologise and applaud the fans after the game.

Cheers Barts. - I have read the other thread since too.

All adds up to a complete cluster fuck as the morale and confidence is way down the sewage system.

Expect Donny to lose at Brentford and then do us over two legs in the PoF Semis as we will not score another goal in the next three games. Preston will win 2-0 as our lads are paralysed with fear in front of a totally unforgiving crowd on Saturday.

The fans have every right to have a pop at the players for the shit dished up this season.

I came out of the Platinum Suite yesterday been to the property auchtion and saw the coaches lined up going to Crewe and thought fuckin hell they deserve more than whats going to be dished up tonight.

I came out of the Crawley game and that was it for me this season after 14 games, pondered going to the Swindon game but after the initial euphoria things are still the same.

Now like many part timers i will watch the rest on the telly.
 
You cannot point the finger at the support this year. We've been there in numbers home and away and despite utterly abysmal home form since boxing day, there have been relatively few incidents of proper widespread booing or unrest.

It's hasn't always been that noisy at the Lane, but as a fan I certainly feel the players haven't had fans on their back that much even after this awful 2nd half campaign.

so that would be played 7 lost 5 won 1 drawn 1 for morgan makes sacking DW look bad if he only lost 7 in his 39 games this season.
 
I've never rated Doyle but we need a ceasefire with him for the play offs.

He has had some better performances and we need three from him in the play offs if we want to get anywhere.

Did you go SP, as if you did, surely you must have noticed Doyle was one of our better players last night, certainly undeserving of the shit he got from the hard done by fans.
But fans need a scapegoat don't they! Yours was Monty, now its Doyle, whether they've done well or not (and believe me, sometimes both these players did/do play well some time or other), you just trot out the same lines.
But no, if you did go I've no doubt the blinkers and sheepskin noseband were on again and maybe a hood over your head to get you into the starting stalls too ;)

I'm not too sure too if I heard a bit of racist shit emerge to my right last night (we were seats 1-3 row D, so everyone on the terrace side were to our right). Maybe my advancing age lends to uncertainty as to what I hear sometimes, but I thought - 'no, surely not' and it passed as quick as I thought I heard it.

Anyway..... Yes, generally the team, as a team, were poor, but a few individuals did better than others (Doyle being one).
Crewe were lightweight and powder puff but still strong enough to roll us over - nuff said.

Christ knows where we go from here on that showing, but I have never and will never understand what abusing, booing and generally castigating your own players achieves. One thing I do know is, it'll never stop, even when/if we do well again.
 
I won't be going on Saturday nor the play off semi finals - I have had enough of going to watch over paid, under performers that can't be arsed to break sweat, cannot perform the rudimentary basics of the game of football yet have their ego's massaged when 17-18000 fans clap them like seals every time they walk onto the Bramall Lane pitch.
I have spent too much already this season watching no hopers go through the motions !
If by a fluke they manage to get to Wembley I will not go there either - having been to every 'big' game starting with the 1961 semi final and replays and culminating in last seasons debacle at Wembley and they have let me down time after time.......I am tired of being let down!
Doyle reckons the Blades have not underachieved................................ I , and I think many Blades fans beg to differ!!

That's just how I feel Fiery enough is enough.

Hopefully things will change we may fluke promotion but that's what it will be a fluke

What about this season? Could anybody have steered us to 4th with 4 games to go with 2nd place still in our hands despite all the players being supposedly wank?

Not sure that was the point I was answering. Strange as you had given up on this team a few weeks ago with da by in charge and now your jumping back on

I defended him all season and got slated for it along with others. Something had to change, sacking him at this stage of the season wasnt the correct decision. Should've given him till the end of the season and if we didnt go up he goes.

If we win the play offs Morgan will be some kind of god around here when in truth he has lost 22% of our defeats this season in just four games in charge.

Danny Wilson lost 17% of the 41 games. Morgan has lost 50% of his 4. Baffling decision by mr mccabe.

Lose on Saturday and over a 1/4 of our defeats this season have come under our "saviour"
 
The decision demonstrates how desperate McCabe is to get out of this division.
He had no confidence that DW would prevail, hence the change in the folorn hope that something would be stimulated by it. The fact that he has butt fucked himself, again, and us (again) is not really relevant.
He knows that another season in Div 3 will be a disaster.
Watch and see.
 
Good Lord! People are actually beginning to work out that Morgan (whisper it) is not actually a very good manager yet, and might never be. Astonishing, I know. He's a Blade and has passion so it's a real shock. Whatever shall we do? Surely there is some former player out there with no credible management credentials whatsoever, who can save us?

I know: Warnock as Director of Longball; Quickfix as coach with Dinosaur Dave to answer the phone. Deano as Head of Diversity and Curtis Woodhouse as Media Officer. Ched to return as Special Events Manager.

I suppose I ought to add a :) at this point, lest someone adopts it as a serious suggestion. We've had dafter.

And we have now lost back to back league games for the first time this season. MORGAN OUT !

Sorry mate I can't agree with that at all!!
The fans have been so patient it's amazing this season, given the drivel we've had to put up with at home. The team have been shit at home with the exception possibly of 3 games. They can't blame the fans ........ It's been crap coaching and under performing players that are to blame !!!!!!

Not sure your post is related to what I posted at all. Where have I said fans lack patience.
It's the players that are sub standard and nothing to offer.
