What’s that got to do with set pieces?
Your picking out one thing to justify our defeat today that's what it's got to do with set pieces. Norwood as been delivering for year's. Some good and bad

I love Norwood. But if Doyle and McAtee are on the pitch....

I think his point is that Doyle is very good at set pieces & whips in a very good ball. Norwoods passing range is excellent but his crossing from corners is debatable so why not use Doyle for set pieces

How many goals are scored from set pieces just floated in to the middle of the penalty area? I'd say less than 10% easily, probably less than 5%.

Most are scored from balls whipped in, with pace, and normally no higher than the crossbar so it doesn't give the keeper the time to pick up the flight of the ball.

Best current example is de brunye, can't recall him ever hitting the first man and very rarely hit right under the keepers nose.

Most of the time Norwood goes to take a corner we're more in danger of conceding ourselves than scoring from it.

Doyle should be first choice on all corners, both sides.

Not using the teams best assets in dead ball situations is criminal. The manager dictates these things, or should. Sorry Ollie, stick to not taking corners when Doyle or McAtee are available. I suspect the manager allows a "senior " pro to overide common sense. When we concede a corner we pull all 11 back. That is beyond stupid. The manager dosen't see it and dosen't insist on leaving 2 on the halfway line forcing theopposition into leaving 4 back and therefore loweing their threat. Simple commonsense at any level. Not with us. Why?

To be honest, from what I’ve seen of Doyle prior to us and with us… his passing range isn’t far off that of norwoods either.

Never understood why Norwood takes corners he should be lurking on edge of the box cause he strike a fair shot now and again

Doyle is an obvious Norwood replacement beyond just taking set pieces

He has all the tools, and is a very mature player for his age. He's already capable of playing Norwood's role now, he'll be extremely capable when he's 25

Just don't know if we'll ever be able to get him
