Not seen this mentioned much alongside the other things we're doing really well this season, but think our strong disciplinary record has played a part in our success. Only 1 red and suspension I think, Bash at Scunny?

Obviously its not the main reason we're top of the league, but CW/AK and the players deserve credit for playing an aggressive, competitive style of pressing football whilst avoiding daft cards.

Has helped us keep our winning first team playing most weeks (as has our avoidance of injuries).

Don't be fucking stupid! No international side could ever want a league one player. Even if they did, they'd let him stay with his club until he was definitely needed due to the player being needed more at club level.

Our bench is also the reason why we are top of the league. It's quality for league 1 standards.

come to think of it,aren't we due a car crash of a run like 4 points from our remaining matches?

I was discussing this seasons fantastic disciplinary record with a fellow blade a couple of weeks ago,
It seems to me we have a manager who is extremely measured in his criticism about poor referring decisions never sought to use it as an excuse, and it seems he has instilled this into the players too.
I wonder how many cautions we've received this season for dissent? It certainly doesn't seem many, we just accept the refs decision and get on with it. Thinking about it, all this crowding the ref arguing is utterly futile, a distraction and changes nothing, far better to channel your concentration and energies into defending the arising play.
I can only deduce that CW has told his players this.
On this point alone , there are plenty of managers in the PL who could learn a thing or two from CW .

Perhaps one of the other reasons for our better disciplinary record is that we are dominating most of our games, therefore we've got the ball a higher percentage of the time, therefore we aren't having to make as many tackles, therefore we aren't picking up as many yellow and red cards.

On the other side of the coin, how many cards have been given to the opposition playing us? There were 4 red cards in 2 games v Shrewsbury and Bury.
