....or does it?
Whilst having a brew and a crafty Woodbine at work this morning a freak gust of wind blew my Blades mug off the wall and smashed it into pieces. Is this a sign that our chances of promotion have been smashed, or a sign that I need to get a shiny new mug for next season in a shiny new division?
I said at the start of the season that we should win the league, but hadn't banked on Charlton having a blinder, and fair play to them, they've been the best outfit all season long. I still see no reason why we shouldn't claim second spot. Oldham was just one of those freak games that every team suffers every season and I didn't expect too much last night with a bodged up defence. Saturday will now be the one where we show our mettle. Should be back to something like full strenghth and, ever the optomist, I think we'll come away with a win.
Personally, I'm off to The Lane to buy myself a shiny new mug!!
