My manager told me the edge of the box is your house - you are there to protect those behind you, not to join them. You never enter that box unless you are running with somebody, and even then it is better to block him.

Talk about making it Eze! Old school isn’t always wrong. How many does it take to cover 1 man and an area of grass?

Soft penalty but magic 3 points!

This has been going on for a while. One of Swansea goals was similar and quite a few last season. When a team gets round the back from out wide, all our defenders and midfielders scramble back into the 6 yard box without actually marking anyone. Anything cut back or half cleared is always picked up by the opposition as we have nobody there.

Always seems like in their haste to "muck in" or whatever their reasons, they lose any semblance of a shape and leave massive gaps.

Also a lot of doubling up today two defenders going for the same ball and leaving a huge space.

Still lots to do defensively but as you say, magic 3 points.

Stearman looked very good to me to, I'd put him ahead of Egan in the middle, though Egan seemed to get his head together in the second half after a poor start.
