I am at a loss to understand how some of our squad are actually professional footballers.
Lowe does not clearly have any positional sense or ability to read the game. Half hearted efforts to put in a tackle and not reacting quickly when situations develop. Thomas? Laroucci?.
Hopefully RND gets back in but in reality he is looking good because the others have been crap.
Enda got a bit of stick on here but with RND out he would be a better option at left back than all except for Trusty when he plays there.
Chelsea do have some talented players but they are not gelled yet as a team. The goals today were when we had numbers back there but failed to cut out crosses or blocking shots. We know what Egan can do and what he can't do which is getting caught on the turn on a ball over the top and Anel Jack and Trusty have weaknesses too but they are putting in effort.
Jack Robinson has improved immensely since we first saw him. He can make mistakes but by fuck can he put in a tackle. Bogle is not great defensively either. Reading the game, positional sense and tackling ability should be a prerequisite in being a professional defender. Being exceptional in the first 2 limits the amount of times you need to do the 3rd. Watching the highlights or low lights to night. Lowe with a lazy attempt at a tackle. Being out of position and not recognising the danger and not reacting to what is happening. No way not in my team.
