Has a club ever sacked its manager on deadline day ?
First thing in the morning or at the close of play ?
Interesting question that. Is it the Guardian that has a section for football questions and trivia like that??

With the way football works, it wouldn't surprise me if the Board are checking with their preferred next manager their thoughts on our potential signings.

Competition for ogbene were in for rak sakyi now we will bring in a wide player whatever happens to Hamer but if Hamer does go I think we’re going to push for Manhoef again. As I mentioned previously we wanted him before but wasn’t prepared to pay what they wanted if Hamer goes we will.

Chances of Hamer going?

Aren't Manhoef and Ogbene both RW's though, or can Ogbene play LW?

At least it sounds like we have a plan if Hamer goes, but if PSV leave it late on to bid for Hamer, does that mean that we won't have time to get Manhoef or do you think we reject a bid for Hamer if we can't get Manhoef?

The 7pm deadline is a bit daft.. expecting some surprises today. The only one that will appease me is the sacking of selles.
According to the Manchester Evening News, probably other sources too "The change is intended to provide a more regular working pattern for staff involved in transfers, rather than the late nights and unsociable hours that have become associated with deadline day"

Bit bizarre reasoning but all agreed by FA, PL and EFL
