Claude DavisClaude Davis has completed his £3million move to Derby County after winning his appeal for a work permit.

The Jamaican international centre-back, 28, agreed to the switch earlier this month, but the deal was delayed as he had not played enough international games over the last two years to meet the requirements.

A hearing on Wednesday accepted the case put forward by Derby, which has allowed Davis to join his former Preston North End boss Billy Davies at Pride Park.

The defender, who joined United last summer, made 18 League starts for the Blades last season.
