Sorry guys lol...we ipswich fans spotted him first..you can't have him ...lol actually joking aside there are a heck of a lot of good bargains going around at the moment, and for a team who have been smart with their money (aka Sheff Utd) you can really strengthen for the future with some cheap buys and good frees - the teams dropping from the Prem obviously jettison their players and others who havent made "the grade" (like Thompson) in one environment are seemingly good enough to make it in another - defintely a good shout and would bring value inho. Other teams who have been the poster case of what not to do with money (aka Ipswich) have got a lot of good young players who will soon be targets - West Ham are lining up Owen Garvan for 2 million... and the fact that our coach was moaning about too many young players and not enough money to spend on experience might have been behind why Manager Joe Royle has just left as of yesterday - so we have no idea what is going on???!!

Haha....speaking of Shearer now that Town are looking for a new manager one of the more thought provoking suggestions (won't happen of cos) being bantered around is Shearer as a player / manager.....heck Id take him as player / coach, I think old Alan would hit the net a few times for Town.
