I am sure you are right, but wasn't the official version that he was "too small"
No idea mate, I haven't lived in Sheffield for twenty years and I'd never heard of him until he started banging them in for SPS.

I just heard he was quite unruly and had a bad attitude, got in trouble etc and the pork thought he was more trouble than he was worth.

Yes I think that was the real reason, but as he was thin as a rake (and not that tall at the time), I think the "too small" excuse was used.

Doesn't surprise me, as sitwell says, standard excuse when dumping kids. It's easier than telling them they're shit (or in his case, a bellend).

Hope we hold on to Brooks as he will develop into a mainstay of the first team in years to come. He's got a maturity and commitment in his play that we never saw in Adams, Diego, Slew et al.
Might be a while before he gets in the team mind...

To be honest pal, if Chapman could get a spot on the bench, and the occasional cameo towards the end of a game, Brooks should be in the same position.

It's a bit different with Chapman as he's come from a premier league team (not that that necessarily means much but it's a better pedigree - his hat trick in the cup shows his ability) and he played last year for Barnsley so has experience in this league, also he's on loan so would be a waste if he didn't at least get on the bench most weeks.

Well, now that we've identified our new target, it's important to start insisting that he should be starting by now and that Wilder simply doesn't refuses to give youth a chance.

Scored again for the U23s today. Surely a matter of time before he gets more first team action? Or is he not ready yet?
