Might as well try and do the football thing again and stick to it now. Might be half decent at passing a ball if we start now and carry on through to next august when we start our League 1 campaign.

Bassett is already there and whatever his role, he has hasn't made any difference at all. Now isn't the time for knee-jerk appointments. We've had enough already. We have the luxury, if you'd call it that, of being pretty sure what division we'll be in next season. We're paying Adams' wages anyway and he can only take responsibilty for a fraction of the season. Ship out the shite, replace with a mixture of young, hungry (and preferably fast) players and keep the experience we can afford. Give Adams the chance to show what he can do in League One (at least until the third game of the season anyway).

Yep, those thrillers away at Forest & Southampton, those years in the Premier League that no one has managed to do since. The first ever goal in the Premier League. Winning away at Liverpool. Staying up after going 16 games without a win. Slamming 6 past Spurs at the Lane. The first FA Cup Semi Final and trip to Wembley for Blades in christ knows how long. A double at the Sty for the first time in christ knows how long. Brian Deane, Tony Agana, Mike Zico Lake, Alan Kelly, Simon Tracy, Ian Bryson, Dane Whitehouse, Glynn Hodges. All done by spending next to nothing and buying bits and bobs players. Done by the fans chipping in to buy Hodges.
The man was and still is a legend to most of us. Don't sully it with your gibberish. I was born, I was there. It was a truly great time to be a Blade and we punched above our weight. FACT.

yeah ok fair enough.. total jibberish but understandable in the circumstances i think .. i just think it would be a backward step at this stage in the proceedings (you forgot leicester btw).. anyways apologies..i was upset.. it was late.. the dog had eaten my homework..

Agree, it would be a backward step (which is saying something), but please don't forget what the guy did for us first time around.
