Got it spot on tonight .

Wasn't afraid to drop Choudhury and BBD.

Got it right.

Well done Chris.

Cannon over Campbell didn't surprise me, but regardless of Cannon's fitness I think he knows that Campbell needs to start now.

I do wonder if Burrows is due a rotation though?

He's been off his game for a little while.
He was pretty good defensively tonight, but really lacking in possession.
Some of his deliveries were really substandard.
Shame really, because he has a wand of a left foot. Young lad that's been good this season, but needs to find consistency.

Would it be better to start Campbell and try to get on top in games, then hoist him when he's huffing and puffing, instead of playing someone ineffective and bringing Campbell on when it could be too late?

I really like McCallum so would love to see more of him!

Glad to know he can see choudhary and Souza from the start doesn’t work like we do

I like him, but he's less secure positionally and seems to not do as well when we start him.

Definitely would get a run out on Saturday if it was up to me though. We need to use the squad.

I’m quick to stick the boot in when he cocks up. But hats off tonight. Can’t comment on the first half as I’m away so missed it, got chance to watch the second half. Night and day from the previous three games. Credit to Wilder for seeing the mistakes and quickly sorting them. Hopefully he sticks rather than moving again.

Credit where it's due. Some of our short quick passing was lovely to watch. We should be playing like this every game.

Some of it even felt like the old days when we used to overload the opposition on the wings and pass through them.

The best part was us seeing a game out properly for once! We kept attacking at 2-1, we kept the ball, we didn't sit too deep. I really hope we learn from this!

The first 43 minutes was impressive, and even better than the second half so it's a shame you missed it!

Totally agree and i have been a big critic of Wilder and his tactics but he got it bang on tonight well done to Chris tonight.

Remember remember the 5th of November?

We have been in top 2 since then haven't we?

Also wasn’t tempted to change the right back Clarke, who was shocking on Saturday
Also he resisted the temptation to swap either Robinson or Anel for the new boy Holding.

For the 1st time in ages….we actually started with a fast tempo.
We played against Boro how Portsmouth played against us for 75 minutes.
We simply steam rolled them off the pitch playing some class football.

My personal opinion on players at this time of the season is that they’re knackered mentally and physically some more than others hence why they’re go off the boil a rotation of the squad can help but it also upsets the rhythm of the team so you can’t win but we March on UTB

Tried everything to get it to work. In Germany for work and my VPN wouldn’t work! I’ll catch the extended highlights when it’s up

If that was a template for a penalty, referees will have have to give between five and ten every match
Just said on another thread, they'll phoning him up tommorrow and telling him off for giving that..

Also kicking the ball into the net after a whistle, no longer a yellow now it's not united doing it..

Ref was a thick twat.

Much better tonight. Starting 3 creative players in JRS, O'Hare and Hamer created much more. The one missing element is the right striker. Campbell made lots of great runs but has to square that chance.

Never any problem with a striker having a go. Could’ve squared it but he was confident enough to have a go.

Noticeably less passes back to Coops from Robbo and Anel. We were looking to move the ball forward quicker, so a big positive from Chris in that part of the game.

We didn’t do the “five short pass goal kick only to go back to Coops to launch it anyway” routine all night I don’t think…

It was improved but if he had it spot on Cannon doesn't start. Credit to him for changing it at half time though.
As Cannon was in a moon boot at full time, I reckon CW took him off due to injury otherwise he would have incorrectly left him on.
He shouldn't have started tonight but at least Wilders hand has been forced now for at least Saturday

I would agree with a break for Burrows, I thought he might have come off tonight.

I was really critical after our recent performances but tonight Wilder and this team answered a lot of questions. It felt like a 2018-19 performance. A great result and a really enjoyable game to watch as well. If we play like that for the rest of the reason I'll be happy--win, lose, or draw.

I didn't have a problem with him not squaring it, it was more that he took and extra touch that wasn't needed and should've shot at that point. The extra point gave the keeper extra time to close him down. I still really like Campbell though.

Fair play to Wilder tonight. He got it right.

Why are young athletic professional sportsmen knackered having played , at most , a maximum of 32 - 35 , 90 mins of football over 6.5 months @ circa 5 games a month ?

Please share

Aside from games being moved only 2 midweek rounds left this season
