Just love his love and admiration for the fans too.

Cant remember the last time I saw a player look like he's genuinely having fun playing the game he loves. Always smiling. As for his gift to that Amelia lass - well, sums him up for me. Great guy.

Sorry to disagree, but everything you just said runs counter to that praise or grumble clip from Wilder.
I was more disappointed by us dropping two points, but Wilder seems happy with the draw, and all his players.
Maybe we are just guilty of expecting too much too soon? :) Nothing personal, just my opinion.

I may have been a little harsh (although I'm kind of hoping those comments come back to bit me). If nothing else, McBurnie having a hot streak would probably coincide with him being sent down!

I do think there's a lot more to come from Robinson. Like Coutts, there's clearly an issue there. Whether that's mental of physical, I don't know. McBurnie seems to have personal issues off the pitch which need sorting. Having a haircut and a shave could be the turning points!

Disagree. Robinson’s running off the ball, closing down opponents is incredible. It just hasn’t yet come off for him while he has the ball, it will come.
Don't think it's determination as i do think he tries hard. I just don't think he has the physical attributes to be a CF (in the capacity of Moose anyway).

People saying that Callum can turn into a beast like Mousset need to look at them side by side. It's like a heavyweight going up against a featherweight.

Sorry, probably me not being clear, but by determination I mean determined to get to the ball first. Will strain every sinew to get their ahead of his opponent.

If it's a like for like your after then I genuinely can't think of a single other player within our reach who is challenging Le Moose right now.

Could we tempt Morelos from Rangers in the summer, if we finish in the top 10?

I was thinking about this earlier. Robinson has spent the best part of his career out on the wing in the Championship. All of a sudden he's signed by a Premier League team and asked to become a striker.

Being asked to play a new position can be hard enough to adapt to. Doing it whilst adjusting to a step up in league at the same time, that's even harder. Obviously Wilder believes he can do it, but Callum doesn't seem to agree so far and needs to find faith in himself.

On showings so far he tends to revert to what he knows best and drifts wide, hugging the sidelines. Unfortunately that leaves his partner isolated up front and having to contend with two or three defenders on their own. Didsy or Moose are smart enough to drop deep and leave the defence on the edge of their box whilst they offer themselves up for the ball. McBurnie doesn't do this, he stays next to the defenders ready for a physical dual, and the attack often breaks down as it's too easy for the defence.

Both Mcburnie and Robinson have something to offer but not as a partnership together. They may have both been involved for the equaliser on Sunday, but just about the whole team was in Man Utd's box fighting to get us a result.

Robinson did look good on Sunday, he put himself about, got more involved off the ball than normal in closing down and challenging Man U players, but he was still hugging the wings in attack.
It might have helped him that we went to a 4-3-3 at the end of the match. With Sharp and McBurnie on he could play in a position where he was more confident.

Way I see it at the minute is McBurnie isn’t the type of striker that everyone wants him to be and never was. Mainly due to people not really watching him play and just seeing his measurables.

He’s a striker that drops deep and links play and continues his runs. He’s obviously good in the air but far from a target man. He’s also only a year older than Calvert Lewin and people need to take that into consideration

A like for like replacement for Moose will be very difficult to find.

The way we play means theres only room for one proper centre forward as McGoldrick occupies the other spot. So who with similar attributes to Moose would be willing to come to sit on the bench

I think Grant is a reasonable shout but the best player in the championship is Bowen and hes a regular goalscorer with pace. However our experience so far with McBurnie and Robinson would have me questioning whether they are worth the risk.

We need another special rabbit out of the hat kind of signing that this regime has specialised in

In my opinion he's awful and a tit

Fair enough. Not seen him play that much but seems like a Moose type (quick, powerful, good finisher) also got that nasty streak which can sometimes be good in a player. Probably wouldn’t fit in with Wilder’s character test mind.

I was thinking about that earlier, that Robinson would probably benefit from being part of a front three because he can stay wide and do what he knows how to do.

Hwang Hee-Chan would do for me. He'd be a great fit for us, nationality aside. Think many PL clubs will be interested.

Wilder's presser tomorrow morning and I'm going for 'we'll give him every chance'.

Sounds familiar. Still if he's injured or susceptible to aggravate something better be safe than sorry. He's going to be vital this season.

Samatta? Newcastle and West Ham apparently keen in JTW. But they're relegation fodder compared to us.

If our Belgium connections as good as they're meant to be then surely we got a chance of persuading him to join us..?

Josef Martinez - Atlanta United
18/19 - P29 G27 A3
17/18 - P39 G35 A6
16/17 - P20 G19 A1

26 year old, rapid and an awesome goal per game ratio (in the MLS). Won the MLS top scorer and MLS MVP in 17/18.

Watched quite abit of Atlanta and I'd love Martinez. Think clubs who can pay higher wages than us will be after him though

IMO there’s only really Everton who may target him and can pay a lot more than us.

I don’t think the “big 6” would go for him, West Ham have just signed Haller. Leicester may be interested but would Martinez be happy sitting on the bench until Vardy retires?

I think if we stop up we can compete with everyone else in the league financially.

Do you include CW/AK and the rest of the management team in that group?

Well put, been trying to explain this even prior to us signing him. 👍

Extremely hard to see where we could improve apart from improving the squad depth.
All our stikers bring something different to the table . Moose dovetails great with mcgoldrick. The others are bit part players at the moment. We somehow have to find a way to get more out of them as injuries etc will split Didzi & Moose sometime or other and we need to be more prolific when this happens.CWAK will be fully on the case. ,would be great to have Didzi & Moose clones they are irreplaceable at present.

As like for like as possible.

He has become so pivotal to everything we do going forward that proper cover/competition for him has to be something of a priority. Especially with his apparent injury issues.

If he stays on today, we win. I have absolutely no doubt about that. He kept them pushed back. Our outlet, the constant threat. As soon as he went off they could relax, as we suddenly became limited.

Karlan Grant from Huddersfield stands out as an obvious option.
mcburnie
when he understands the role better
