Coutts assist for Billy's 2nd

I was looking forward to seeing this, but from highlights it just shows him falling over and appearing to just kick. I assume there is a bit more to it.

A MK Dons player wrapped his arm round Coutts neck trying to pull him down. Coutts tried to keep his balance but managed to touch the ball to Sharp. The ref would have awarded a foul to us but did the right thing to play the advantage

And that was after Coutts impressively tackled the MK player initially and ran with the ball from near the halfway line.

One of the best assists of the season. Tackle, run and pass and on top of that he was being fouled.
 
Best thing about coutts now, is that he seems to have moved on from his injury.

He has his confidence back and is prepared to stick a boot in now. Assuming he is a good pro during his break and doesn't come back in July having done nowt for 2 months he should start next season even fitter than this season.

The Coutts of old had all of this except the work rate. Adding that this season has made him twice the player he threatened to be
 
Definitely our MOTM yesterday.

Him and Fleck dominated the game.

It was very satisfying for me to see us go there and boss possession like we did. Because in the last few seasons, they've been a considerably better footballing side than us and we've usually been a disjointed mess. Not anymore.

I believe this is the first time we've doubled them too.
 



I think he feels as though he now belongs, the fans this season have really warmed to him but I have noticed this season when we get a corner in ront of the kop and the fans shout his name he just gets on with his job, the last 2/3 games he has clapped in response to the fans, something I have enjoyed seeing, Billy may well be our player of the season but in this unforgettable season hiw can you seperate them, season up there with the best, my son will be talking about it to the younger end in 15/20 years, hopefully along with the next few, 2016/17 the season it all started and I was there.
 
So many contenders for MoTM yesterday - but either Coutts, Fleck or Billy will do. Nice problem to have innit, so many players still putting in full shift, when at a time of season when it would be so easy to ease off the pedal now the job has been done. Not on Sir Chris's shift though.
 
As I've said before, will be really interesting to see who gets the players player of the year award this year. So many worthy contenders. Which will make earning the accolade even more special, to top off a special season.

I'm sure we all expect the captain, top scorer, and general all round good egg to get it.

But I also expect the players to acknowledge the role of the vice captain. So it could be closer than we might think ;)
