I know we are acting like moneybags at the moment, but i'd think we might have to find £50m for them two. Can't see it somehow.

I reckon Stoke would take 10m plus a player. He's a high earner and sure he wants to play in the PL again.
 
I would go all out to get Rekeem Harper, someone who I’ve liked for sometime, I think he’s still a teenager but the lad is very talented and would look class in our midfield.

The only problem with my suggestion though is I reckon there will be a few top clubs looking at him now which will put us down the queue somewhat, admittedly that’s pure guesswork.

I think he's just signed a new deal (I think he was out of contract this year).

Not really, he'd have been sizable compensation. Though I still think the compo (even if 5m+) would be worth it.
 
I do wonder whether he'll go back in for Lenihan. He'd be able to cover DCM and possibly CB as well. Not sure how athletic he is and whether he could play one of the overlapping roles.
 
It's Hogg or Arter ..for the midfield battler option ...but like many others I'd love Mooy ...different again ..and ideal world would love a battler and Mooy ..but realistically..a battler is priority ..bearing in mind Morrison might get the odd game as a creative option
 
Mooy was on 60 bags a week. Assume he will have taken a cut following relegation but he'll still be on a fait whack.

I think he’s only signed a contract extension to make sure they get top brass for him, I have no doubt that he’ll go on to bigger and better things. I think a few teams have missed a trick with him, if the compo was £5m? then for me, that’s nothing compared to what he’d be worth in one or two years time.

Surely not? He’s made 16 appearances in each of his last 2 championship seasons? 1 of them seasons being part of the worst Sunderland side in a long time. Need to be looking for better even if it’s just for cover.
