That is what he told RS in his interview the other night. He wants 2 more additions before the window closes, he would rather have players for the full season as opposed to loans but if he is forced into the loan market so be it he said.

He thinks we have more than enough in midfield however he would like some more competition in front of goal and to replace Maguire at the back.

I would think Porter, McGinn and couple of young lads may well go out on loan - but after the window closes I would've thought.
We DEFINITELY need another striker, that much is absolutely clear as day, and cover is required at RB too. IF Butler goes.....IF....then we will need another CB too. I would like to see Butler given a chance but it does seem as though there him & Clough have fallen out, and if that is true there will only be one winner in that. But if Butler is still in Clough's plans there seems little point in adding another specialist CB, with him, Collins, McGahey, Alcock, McEverly, & Kennedy all able to play there it would seem a waste.
