Paul Walker in the warm/moist seat for the "session"

What question (and you only get one) would you want to ask the Nigemeister?

Mr Clough, from the outside, your first few team selections appear to be extremely fuckwitted. Discuss.

In fairness only 2 have. The 2 games we've lost looking sh!te. Both Crewe and Colchester selections were fine I thought.

Nige, can you agree that being a club captain you should be able to lead by example or by leadership. Can you explain which Doyle falls under considering he has no dialogue with his players for 90 minutes and is crap.

Can you explain why you think Lappin is a better option than McGinn?

Where do you fancy with your next job Nige?

When will players like Cuvellier and Baxter get this clean slate that you have given everyone else?

Did you watch the Bradford v Coventry game on Sunday? Is it possible we can have that level of commitment from our players?

How you feel about people who remember the 80-81 season thinking this is the worst Sheffield United team in living memory.

Do you really expect to bring anyone of any real quality into the club in January, considering we are a wrecking ball for any young mans career.

Nige, do you really think you're man enough to make the big decisions needs at this club?

How many players do you need/how much money do you think you will need to spend to transform this squad to challenge for promotion?

Nigel, next season there's a very real chance that we will be playing a league match at a ground with a capacity of 3,600. How embarrassing do you think that will be?

:tumbleweed:Nigel, you dont honestly think you can emmulate your late fathers sucess????????
Didnt think so mi`old china...

These callers will have been heavily screened. They'll all be blowing smoke up his arse.

Really good to listen to Nigel's thoughts. I've said before that I like the way he speaks and he's obviously trying to put his own plans into place, but he's hampered a little at the moment.

He's clearly big on youth, but he recognises the need for experience.

The squad is too big and he wants to move a few on in January or before.
Players like Marcus Williams are way down the pecking order and nowhere near first team thoughts.
Doyle is a player he likes in the respect that he knows what he gets from him week in week out.
McGinn, I've mentioned on the McGinn thread, but he clearly values him too.

Some real idiots on the phones and many wanted to give Cloughie their opinions rather than allow Cloughie to share his views on the present and future for the blades.

Didn't hear it. Did he say anything about needing more quality, pace, fitness, strength & desire?!

It wasnt something that was asked directly, from what I heard. But he alluded to the fact that he brought in Lappin and White to get some of these attributes in.

One thing he also said was that he wants the ball to get out wide and that's what he did at Derby. He also mentioned that he likes his full backs to get forward and he had an excellent player at Derby in Brayford. Apparently he is now at Cardiff but not getting a look in. Walker asked if he was a player on his list and Cloughie said "he'll always be on my list". So perhaps a loan move for him is on the cards

Forgot two other points:
- his 4 weeks at the sty weren't the most enjoyable
- on taking the blades job: "I'd turned to loose women, the next step was Jeremy Kyle, so it was time to get back to work"

To me, he sounded very knowledgable, articulate and absolutely no fool. Clearly media trained. I thought he did everything you would expect.
