Terrorised United most of the game. Two strong & quick forwards, work hard on-and-off the ball, developed good partnership. Exactly what we lack. Unsure if King & Baxter were supposed to be a pairing, both looked disinterested, both are lightweights, neither have pace, neither worked the guts out. Whoever is the next manager, gotta get more power and pace in the front two specifically and throughout the team in general. Most of our lot are lightweights - King, Miller, Flynn (absolutely crap today), Brandy, Baxter, Murphy, etc. In this division gotta combine power, pace, heart with footballing technique. Weir left us with the later, none of the former.

Need some some Sheffield steel!

Not me, mate. I was all for getting the pair of them. So was DW. All I said was we shouldn't pay over-inflated prices. Who knows, we may get them in January? On a more worrying note, Maguire and Collins are both looking very shaky this season.

I think we should have paid over the odds for the pair! I was referring to people saying 'Weir has identified the problem upfront, look, he tried to sign those Coventry lads!' as if his failure to prize two players from a team in (sort of) administration was a point in his favour.

He wasn't shite, but he is quickly sinking into the quicksand that we seem to sprinkle around the lane like fairy dust. Mind you when presented by the opposition so quickly because of our powderpuff midfield means you are exposed enough to look utter crap over 90 minutes.

Wilson and Clarke just on their own have scored a total of 18 league goals combined this season.

As a club we've scored 17 goals in our last 25 league matches stretching back to February.

Leon Clarke used to make me laugh in the championship playing for Wendy, it was only based on brief glimpses and the moment when he broke his toe celebrating (a good goal I might add) against Palace in a huge game kept me sniggering for ages as it ruined their ascendancy at the time in the game and saw them relegated. However, players have their level and he's very good at this level.

I'd be somewhat upset as he's an ex-pig, and a bit of a shit one, but he's what we need right now. Thing is we'd probably make him an all time record wage earner on a five year deal even though he'd not be played after 18 months.

Leon Clarke was the player to have scored most against us i'm sure. Alan Shearer was the most vs. Weds.

I think Gary Lineker never scored against us in 6 or 7 matches
