I'm thinking of purchasing tickets for the home end. Which stand is closest to the away end and will there be a problem getting the tickets?
Has anyone else already bought tickets in the home end?

Google Chesterfield fc stadium seating plan. We've been allocated the usual 1000 or so extra seats in the East stand so as close to these is your best bet. Don't go for the West stand at the side of the Blades. It's usually where the village idiots congregate

Or ceebebies as they are affectionately referred to!

Boozers? last time out I ended up in the donkey derby, not a fan...

We had tickets in the main stand, close to the away end when we lost 3-2, which wasn't a particularly fun experience, their idiots like to be as close to the away end as possible and that's where we were. Trig Jnr (TY) was up off his seat when Chessie scored their first, to make it look as though we were thrilled by the goal and we stayed very quiet when we pulled two back :-)

The Victoria or the Red Lion are usually full of Blades fans just typical lager and the odd hand pull places, The derby tup(nice ale pub) and the Spireite (obvs) are usually full of Chezzy Mongs.

aye, I imagine I did from the lack of red and white. Derby Tup maybe this time?
I doubt many got in. The doorman (woman....but deffo a doorman) wasn't too thrilled that at least one Blade had got past her.
Better beer in Derby Tup but I imagine the doors will be manned up there too.

I remember that (and her) as a solicitor, police office, civil servant, three women and me were refused entry...

I was seeing a girl from Chesterfield at the time. I went with her,she wearing a blue and white scarf and her two sons,11 & 9, both wearing their Chesterfield shirts. I had no colours on and also no ID so she refused to believe I wasn't a Blade trying to pull a fast one.
Only got in on production of our family stand tickets and we were thoroughly searched at that too.....including the boys.
After the match we walked straight in, she was still there, and upon our departure I took great satisfaction in letting her know where my loyalties lie.

Down a little side street near the Derby Tup is a newish bar called the Beer Parlour, friendly staff and every type of beer imaginable. Well worth a visit....

Im sure there will b loads. Im not from sheffield so I got mine ok in home end.

Bought tickets in E3 on the east stand. Have We got a bit of the east stand too as I couldn't buy E1 or E2.
Is anyone else on east stand?

This is a VERY open forum and historically MAY have contributed to tickets being dishonoured.. I managed to get into the away part two years ago and it wasn't pleasant. Blades were easily identified and not just by cheering etc. These inbreds know each other, there aren't that many watering holes, places to breed and recreate and buy clothes. Trust me, when I say I dressed down and I'm hardly a tailors dummy!

So, I wouldn't be posting where you're sat and would be considering your match day image and behaviours...

is this woman something of a beast? I pop up to see my folks in Chesterfield from time to time but never bothered taking in the pubs but you have piqued my curiosity here...

We'll find out whether this is a new United or not after the next fortnight

Our next two games are against the bottom two.
Old United = two defeats nailed on.
We'll have to wait and see what happens,

The side stand is divided between home and away. (Furthest from the road on the map).

I sat amongst 'em when we got stuffed the year before last. Not enjoyable, but definitely not threatening either.

The turnaround playing Shrews is a bit quick isn't it. Thought I may have dreamt that 3-0 win when I was checking the upcoming fixtures the other day.

Yep. Bought mine online yesterday for the West stand - next to the away end (where all the village idiots congregate). I chose West stand as it's nearest the main road for a quick getaway. I'll be parked just off Whit Moor down some side street so it's ideal.

The ground, unsurprisingly, is rectangular in shape, so both the West and East stands are equally near the away fans. It's clear from the CFC website which blocks are nearest, but if in doubt on the day then it's the North end where the away fans are - that's the end nearest to Sheffield.

I've sat amongst the home fans before. It's fine as long as you don't jump up and celebrate when we score. Also, remember to call everyone "duck" not "pal" and you'll ok.
