We do have our limits, and I do think Ched’s behaviour was grim. But where that line falls is very hazy, both legally and morally, where drunken consent is concerned.

I’ve some sympathy for your position but I don’t share it. It’s just insufficiently black and white for me believe Ched should be ostracised on moral grounds alone.

Completely understandable mate, and well put. I certainly won't judge anyone who shares your viewpoint on it.

It's that he had sex with a girl who can't remember.
That's it?
...If that girl was underage...
Oh, never mind. As you were.

No point in debating this any longer its been done to death. Ched was found not guilty on appeal. He's our player. Wilder wants him. That's not going to change for the forseeable future. This is the on-the-field section of the forum. If people want to debate sexual morals, try the Harvey Weinstein thread.

What was the result of this witch hunt by the CPS?,like I said Absolute bollocks, you're another clown who can't accept Ched is an innocent man

First of all, I agree with your overall position that Ched is an innocent man and is rightfully free to resume his career. I have absolutely no problem with SUFC signing him and I really hope he gets his fitness up and starts smashing goals in for us.

However, to use your own words, your argument here is “absolute bollocks”. The evidence was presented in court. A jury of 12 thought, on the balance of the evidence they’d seen, that he was guilty. That suggests that it was entirely reasonable for the CPS to bring the case to trial at the time based on the evidence they had. Further evidence has since cleared him of the crime and I’m pleased for him that he’s been able to clear his name. But that in no way means it was wrong for the CPS to bring the case in the first instance. You demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of the English Legal System with your cries of “clown”, “bollocks” etc. with absolutely no substance to your point.

Perhaps its time to revive the special section for Ched threads

Ched is an innocent man,i stand by my absolute bollocks comment.

Do not waste your time writing lengthy sermons,i am not going to change my opinion on the CPS,and these 2 clowns masquerading as Sheffield United supporters

Anybody wanting to discuss this further (I do) can we put it in the off topic.

You stand by your statement because of your fundamental lack of understanding of what is being discussed. But yes, Ched is an innocent man and has every right to ply his trade and I wish him nothing but success.

I give up.
They won't drop it. It takes two to tango (or five in this case). If posters stopped responding instead of feeling a compelling desire to constantly tell someone that his personal opinion is wrong this thread would have died ages ago.

Or we Could just ask if the OP went well n how Ched is??

Don’t move this thread off topic, DELETE it, it’s deteriorated into a load of the same old crap.

Every single post on it has been said in one form or another over and over again during the last six years or so. There isn’t anything new that’s left to left say, nothing that will make the board members say ‘WOW I didn’t think of that!’. Nothing new to say that with make anybody change their stance on the subject and change camps after all this time.

It’s nothing to do with football lads and lasses and I’ve got to say that I find it a bit of a coincidence that the Pork in their current grief seem to have latched onto the subject of Evans again over the last few days (conveniently forgetting the total scum that they’ve gleefully cheered on) and surprise surprise it’s now reared it’s head on here. Make of that what you may.

He was referred to Crab Medical Solutions ,we use all the latest technology and Ched will soon be playing again.

While I maintain the utmost respect for Mr Crab, and indeed all at Crab Industries (and all subsidiaries etc etc), I feel the rehabilitation of Mr Evans should be left in the hands of SUFC. For various reasons, I do not feel that be-shelled crustaceans with fairly clumsy claws are in the best place to conduct delicate surgery on professional athletes (again, I am not insinuating anything direct about Mr Crab's personal dexterity).

At what point should I expect a visit from Big Vern? I would hate to be out and cost Crab Industries the expenses of a wasted callout.

*disclaimer - trying to inject a little levity into a boringly serious thread. Does anyone actually know how Ched's op has gone?

I started this thread about a Sheffield United player having an operation,I've looked at ways of trying to remove the post because it has got ridiculous now.

By all means Foxy, delete the f**ker.

How can I possibly have an opinion if I don't know about it?

It's not that he was unfaithful that I have the problem, though it doesn't shower him in glory. It's that he had sex with a girl who can't remember.

We all have our limits. If that girl was underage, I highly doubt you would be saying "he'd served his sentence, let's back him."
Maybe she's just got a really shit memory

You may see later in my text that I refer to those that you might have knowledge of indiscretions which is where I would suggest your opinion may be formed. However, the original poster is quite correct that, once again, a thread has been high jacked by those that wish to resurrect the same old discussion. Please feel free to waste your time replying to me but I will not respond again as I will not change my opinion as, I am sure, you will not change yours.

Your not a Sheffield United supporter, and you are not a journalist.

No Sheffield United supporter would willingly want one of our players to fail and/or suffer serious injury like you

You seem to be really struggling with the idea that I can dislike one of our players and still support the team. I don't need to fit your standards of what a supporter is, so you may as well stop rattling on about it.

I know one prominent poster on here who boycotted the club until we got rid of Marlon King. I suppose that means he's not a Blade either?

As for what you think my profession is, you're just making yourself look ridiculous now. Honestly, I'm a journalist. It's really that simple and I don't know why it bothers you!

As someone who announced on here that I wasn't happy with the ched signing, I say this:

It really is time to move on.

In the eyes of the law he's not guilty. Which means, to me, however I look at it, he's served his time.

It seems he's definitely not harmful to moral, And in fact seems to be fitting in with "the group" pretty well.

Dislike!!!!,you are wishing serious injury on him, plus you do not want him to score if he ever plays

Journalist my arse

Allow me to address your concerns. We here at Crab Industries are focused on Customer Satisfaction. As such, the care of Mr Evans was allotted to a specialist team that have only recently been struck off due to a medical "misunderstanding", so their knowledge before the "misunderstanding" will be relevant and up to date. I can assure you that in this case, at no time was I "Claws On" with the procedure.

As I'm sure you will have come to understand, Crab Industries have a global influence and at the time of Ched's procedure, I was on a fact finding tour of Portuguese culture.

Not sure what time Big Vern can make it. He takes 'er indoors to Bingo on a Thursday. But if you see a 53 plate Discovery outside your house, say your prayers and get the kettle on. Milk no sugar, Big Vern is sweet enough.
