Not been overly impressed up to now. £3m looked a lot to pay for a bloke who isn't that quick, isn't that big, isn't that quick and isn't prolific.

However watching him tonight I had a greater appreciation of why we signed him. Yes he didn't score but on another night he could have had a couple and his shot near the end was an absolute bullet. Yard either side and its in.

As a Henderson apologist I actually think watching some of Evans hold up play you could put Ward up alongside him and have a pretty effective forward line.

Hopefully he is now 100% and will push on to score the goals with Wardy.

I think he played excellent. I dont believe he is fully match fit yet either

The shot towards the end was magnificent just a good save. And Hendersons goal i believe this is the second where ched has just booted it across the face of goal and we've scored. Its nice to have a striker that knows when to shoot, not be afraid to and also knows when to pass and not go for goal.

Also i thought that was excellent play by chedders when he went on a run and brought it back till play caught up, brilliant hold up play :thumbup:
