I think it's the law of averages.
Every good run must come to an end sooner or later.
Also our preparation hasn't been the best.
Our last 2 matches were almost non events, attack versus defence training session.
Our goalie and defence were virtually spectators with nothing to do.

I'll settle for a draw but have an irrational feeling we'll lose 0-1 taking us out of the top 2.
Then we win our game in hand Tuesday to put us back in the top 2 again.

0 - 4 victory for Charlton .

It's the work of the Devil himself .

Although I felt we'd slip up to MK Dons.
Also had a feeling we'd only draw away to Chesterfield and that Ched would score.
And of course on Tuesday there was no way we were going to get a late winner,
simply because United don't get late winners when we've had chance after chance.

Wilder keeps proving me wrong all the time and hope it continues on Saturday.

As has been said, sides pushing forward and coming onto us are easier to get behind and exploit with pace on the wings.

As the home side, with fans expecting positivity, Charlton will do just that, rather than sitting back and defending a seige like Shrews and Bury did.

I see no reason why we can't turn them over. A large and vocal backing from dem Blades fans will also help.

Blades to win.

I've got 1-0 Charlton. Think of all the games around this stretch that could end the run, this one is the most likely.

I think we will lose 2-1. Pinchy, having kidnapped Wilder's mother and only agreed to release her if Done is replaced, CW is forced to change his selection and shape. Charlton are fast out of the traps trying to impress new manager whilst CW tells the Blades to quieten the home crowd. CW allocates the Done role to Billy. Billy, not being used to running around like a demented meerkat, pulls a hamstring and is out for 6 weeks.Charlton go two up before we are awake. We get a late consolation when CW sends Done on with a hastily made Scougall mask.

1-3.... Charlton to take an early lead to get us fired up and fuck them right in the arse. Sharp x2, Clarke from the bench.

Depends how many we are playing against 0-0 if we have to take on our usual 9 men win for us otherwise

First game i've been to all season (i live in london) - guaranteed to lose. Sorry to all.

Big crowd travelling, great form, down in London. I can smell the damp squib now!

I think we'll draw, but toughest game so far. Charlton are well equipped on their day to challenge the top 4 despite the unsettled scenes at The Valley.

Charlton 1-1 Blades

Ajose 27'...............Clarke 76'

60% possession for us.

I've gone for 1-1. It looks pretty straightforward on paper, but we've been wasteful in front of goal lately. Only the 2nd half away at Chesterfield was truly clinical recently. Charlton are on good form and will test us. They'll enjoy taking a point off us. And BTW I've predicted the result (along with a couple of correct scores) for every game since Fleetwood away.

Onwards and upwards tho, 'cos we're gonna murder Walsall on Tuesday.
