The Cutty Sark pub is a 5-10 minute walk downstream from the Cutty Sark ship. Used to be a fantastic boozer when I lived right opposite it (never got round to getting a boat to get me across the Thames to it!).

I know. It was supposed to be a joke. Sadly not a funny one. I posted about sitting outside the Gypsy Moth prior to Millwall last season. As you know, that's facing the Cutty Sark. Nice bit minty if you like Wetherspoons prices.

Good shout Carling. Do you know if both potential car parks will be full by say 11.00am?

Do I need a plan B?

HH

There's parking on the nearby roads, it's only a small country village but easier to get to than Epping and easier to park. Big car park at Theydon, nice pub and you might bump into Rod Stewart.

I'm parking on somebody's drive at Brent Cross a minute from the station. A fiver for all day.

Just mentioned on BBC Radio London that Charlton will appoint Karl Robinson tomorrow. Also said that further fan protests are planned for Saturday

Charlton flying at the moment 5-0 away at Brizzle Rovers. They've got plenty of quality, it might be a tough game on Saturday. I'll take a draw!

What are the decent boozers in Greenwich?

There are a couple on the doorstep of the DLR Cutty Sark station which are decent pubs.

The Gate Clock is the local Wetherspoons and across the road is The Spanish Galleon. Next to the Cutty Sark itself is the Gypsy Moth which is a decent size with a good size outside seating area.

At the side of the entrance to Greenwich Market is the Admiral Hardy and nearby are The Mitre, The Kings Arms and The Greenwich Tavern which is near the bottom entrance to Greenwich Park and could be classed as your up-market boozers with prices to match.

My favourite is the Trafalgar Tavern which is on the Thames Walk path just past the National Maritime Museum, pricey but with great views across the river to Canary Wharf.

The Valley is reached in ten minutes by a couple of buses out of the town centre - the 177 to Thamesmead and the 180 to Belvedere. Get off the bus when you see the Antigallican on your right hand side.

Sorted. ;)

47% possession.
3 corners.
8 shots.
5 shots on target.
5 goals.

Bloody hell.

On the Bristol Rovers forum many are saying that it was a false scoreline and they don't rate Charlton.
However last week many did say how impressed they were with the MK Dons.
They are saying MK Dons looked a far superior team.

In fairness MK looked a good outfit against us, just no cutting edge and too much tippy tappy possession football. They lost to Chezzie tonight, just shows what a funny game football can be.

I'd be tempted to booze in Greenwich near the Cutty Sark, the Wetherspoon's round the corner is ok for a pint and a bite to eat then you have the choice of a bus or south east train (3 stops to Charlton) and drops you five mins walk from the Valley.
