From the video clip he looks like another Brian Deane to me, big enough, strong and a natural who gets in the right place at the right time and realises clever placement and early stabs and pokes can score alot of goals. This guy would excite me much more than some of the other older players being rumoured and 400 k looks like a steal and a likely winning gamble for someone.

I don't think I've ever seen him play. What I said was that this is exactly the type of player we should be looking to bring in. In other words, we should be looking for younger players (because we have two strikers in their 30's now) who are starting to make waves at lower league clubs and wouldn't be expensive, or impossible, to sign. If you look at the type of players Wilder has brought in, almost all have them have something in common - they feel they are making a step-up in their career joining Sheffield United, rather than a step-down. This is very important and it's one of the key reasons why Wilder is able to build a strong team spirit. The lads are starting out on a journey together - not coming to the end of one as before under Adkins and his cronies.

Is Charlie Wyke any good? No idea pal. Not a clue. But that's not my job. It's the job of Wilder and Knill to run the rule over players like this and take a punt if they feel they are good enough to make the step-up. What I know is, he sounds promising and he's the right age and fits the criteria that we ought to be looking at. And my main point was really to disagree with those on here who reckon we don't need another striker because we've already got 5. We've not. We've got 2 decent ones in Sharp and Lavery. 1 that might still play a part, in Clarke. 1 that likes to think he's a striker, but isn't, in Done. and 1 that has no future at the club and is seemingly unwanted everywhere he goes, in McNulty.

Two of the many bizarre characteristics of our unique fans:

"Why do we need (for example) a midfielder, we've got six already", when any qualitative assessment would reveal that four of them are shite.

Fan thinks we should sign player X. Manager has no interest whatsoever in player X. We don't sign player X. We've "missed out again".

About to sign for Bradford for £250k......Double blow as it means one of our main rivals are signing a lad who knows where the back of the net is.....and secondly it probably means that McNulty isn't moving back to only club that he can play for other than us.....grrr

Bargain price that. I like the look of that lad and thought he showed potential. Bradford wont lose out on the lad thats for sure. Pity we didnt go in for him, but i suppose when you have about 7 centre forwards on your books you cant complain that youve not been backed sufficiently on that front (different debate about whether you think they are good enough individually).

Linked with him again today on some crappy site. With it looking like Hanson is on his way out I wonder if it might be true. Would likely cost a lot but at his age there's a lot of upside in both potential and sell on fees

If it's on that joke of a website it's probably bollocks

The number of pro footballers in Eoropewho suffer from seizures or heart problems is surprisingly high.
Before anyone jumps to the wrong conclusion this has been the case before Covid and vaccinations.

Unvaccinated apparently.. Poor lad, hopefully he recovers and gets back to full strength.
