S24SU Golfers,
A few years back I lost my good mate Dave Middleton. Better known to many Blades fans as “The Yellowman”, Dave was a fixture at BDTBL (just behind the goal, kop end) and a perennial, away from home too. We lost him far too early and I miss him a lot.
For the 4th consecutive year we will be hosting the Friends of Yellowman Charity Golf Day on Friday 6th May 2016 at College Pines Worksop raising funds for The Rotherham Hospice who looked after Dave and his family so so well at the end.
I would like to extend a special S24SU invitation to you and your friends, family, partners, colleagues to come along and join in the day.
A 4-man team will cost £160 (£40 per head), with all profits going to the Hospice. The format will remain the same as simple as previous years; primarily a team Stableford, plus individual hole prizes.
I hope you can support us. With teams from Sheffield Utd, players old as well as the current crop, and also usually one from S6 (calm yourself Judge, it’s a good cause) it’s a great day. If you can, come and join us and enjoy good company, a good days golfing and help us raise funds for what is a vital service for everyone.
Anyone who cannot raise a team but would like to play, please get in touch. As we did last year, we will match you up with other keen interested people and form teams.
For those who haven’t attended previous events this is one not to be missed. A great cause in the name of a great Blade and an even greater mate!
