If 73/74 points is the usual average to secure 6th and the current 6th placed team (us) have only 66 with 3 matches remaining then securing 6th is looking very likely to require lower than that this season IMO.

I can't see any of the teams chasing 6th (including us) winning two or three of their remaining matches to get to 74, even with Boro still having a game in hand no team is in the form to reach 74.

I can't see it mate. Bournemouth will be dropping points. They've still got 5 games left and none are easy:

Tend to agree. 72 points is a decent marker.

Must beat Cardiff and then there is the opportunity to ramp up high pressure on the chasing pack by beating QPR who, if we beat Cardiff and they don't beat Stoke, will be effectively out of the race.

Birmingham, Peterborough and Bournemouth (who will already be promoted) look very winnable for them l, can't see us or boro winning 2 let alone 3... we've both gone, all set up for Millwall to sneak in

Millwall have only won three of their last nine games (drawn 4, lost 2) and they haven't won away since beating Reading on March 5th. They have two away games to play, including at Bournemouth on the final day and it's entirely possible that Bournemouth will need to win to secure promotion. I'd rather be in our position.
