CB's and London buses.....

We've gone 2 seasons without proper CB cover and looked like doing it again judging by S24 hysteria over the past few weeks (guilty as charged).

Now Mcfazden must be wondering if he will be a shoe in to the first team with Wilson in the bag, O'Connell set to sin today and Killganon reportedly close.

My guess is Killa is a red herring!

I dont think he is, he has been at the Lane twice in the past week so there is obviously interest there, I imagine though he wants a lot more cash that Chris is willing to pay and were playing hardball with him - about time too. If we miss out on him, wont be a great loss as long as we get O'Connell and McFadz over the line.

The reason we could well sign all of them is because O'Connell can play left back - and we've currently only got one senior left back. I could see him starting there in a lot of games if Hussey's not the best defensively.

Wilson McFadzean Kilgallon O'Connell - that would be an extremely solid back four at this level wouldn't it? Pulis style. Similar to the defence that got Wednesday up.

might end up being Grandison, Wilson, McFazdean, O'Connell, which would still be great, I personally would like Killa but he would only come if high wages which we really should be avoiding (Players in there last years looking for big contracts and monies) and if 1st choice which would not be guaranteed.
