PNE fan here. It has become knowledge amongst some PNE fans that Sheffield United bid £3M (rising to £4M) for Callum Robinson in the last couple of days of the transfer window.

PNE refused the offer as Robinson said he was happy at the club and it would have took a much larger offer to tempt the club to accept.

Just something I thought I’d pass on.

I actually saw this posted on a thread on here the other day. Shame it was turned down as I actually rate the player- but wouldn’t have gone any higher than £4M.

Yeah we'd heard summat about that.
We lack pace and Robinson, whilst still raw, has a good deal of pace and power.

We also bid for Luke Freeman at QPR and to be fair I'd rather have had Freeman than Robinson but we are desperate for some pace at the top of the pitch.

Seen a lot of tripe about people tipping PNE for a relegation fight. Utter bollocks that is. PNE one of the most awkward opponents, where the team is greater than the sum of the parts. Those tipping a rough ride for PNE know nowt about this division.

Very kind of you. It will give our clueless fans the chance to have an attention-seeking tantrum.

It’s the Bladesfans’ Way.

Is that on here? In seasons gone by we’ve been predicted to be bottom half every season- sometimes even bottom three. However this year predictions seem to have been much more positive- Sky Sports have us finishing 5th. Fourfourtwo 4th- Football League World I think 7th. Most people on the whole I think ( from what I’ve seen) have us finishing somewhere from 6th-12th which on balance I think is very fair.

To be fair I haven't seen anyone to as such. Dark horses for the top 6 IMO.

Yeah most predictions I have seen had been positive- but to be honest I’ve seen pretty much every team other than Stoke and Middlesbrough predicted bottom half on some thread.

Think our chances depend on whether Nmecha/Maguire (when he comes back) score the goals we need. We’ve always been solid just sometimes lack that little bit of finishing ability.

Not on here as I think most Blades fans know how hard it is to get a result from the Lillywhites. It's more about stuff I've seen on the Interwebz and via twatter. And then from people that were fawning over the Prem teams that have dropped and, of course, Franky Boy at Derby.

It is often the relegated premier league clubs fans that turn their noses up at sides that haven’t been in the premier league in its recently!

i'd much rather play derby than north end

Yep - cos they know fuck all about football.

To support PNE or Blades you have to be a proper fan and that comes with a lack of entitlement and arrogance.
(Caveat some of the reactions to our start to this season and our failure to capture transfer targets, to date)

Your midfielder with the dreadlocks? Impressed me last year when you beat us at your place. Can’t remember the name but he looked lively, few tricks and quick feet.

WYEDP?

I love common knowledge me...

Decent player but never scored many. Surprised we bid 4m for him but that just shows the current market.

And it gives those with superiority complexes an opportunity to boost their egos, and show their contempt for their fellow Blades.

Those non-Blades who delight in attacking their ‘own club’? You bet. Contempt is too good for them. I’m considering a bit of disdain.

I'm not impressed by those who delight in attacking their own club. The fans are a major part of any club, so I am equally not impressed by those who delight in attacking their fellow fans. Contempt is not the same as holding and expressing different opinions from them.

Is he any good?
