Andy Giddings on twitter is saying we've put a bid in for Byron Webster from Millwall. Centre back and 6 foot 4

His contract was an automatic one year extension but looked good against us at the weekendDivision rival.
Happy enough there to have signed a new contract just over two weeks ago.
This stinks of the club going 'Shit, we'd better at least look like we're trying or they'll get right on our backs.
Be flabbergasted if this goes anywhere.

Must of signed that recently then"Byron Webster has extended his stay at Millwall by signing a new contract until the summer of 2018."

....go against Wilder saying he wants pace at centre half. If he's decided to settle for solid over pace then I wish he would've done that earlier, it would've given us many more options in the summer and the position would be sorted by now.
Must .....
Must .....
baptiste!
Some players like to insist on release clauses when signing new contracts though...
Indeed. Matt Taylor, another of our targets, signed a new contract on very much that sort of understanding.

Didn't Webster play for Yeovil alongside another very tall centre-back? The name escapes me for the moment. Goodness me, what was that chap's name.....it'll come to me....
Wonder if he'd rejoin for a season?
can't see it, he was on the bench for both Boro 's games.
