Well that was done quick! off to swansea on loan for rest of season does that mean uncle albert is coming:confused:

what a fucking pointless loan that was by blackwell, why loan someone, not play them till the last 3 games, oh hes not bad actually, then let him go back and thats it?

might aswell have given cotterill some pitch time last few games, oh yeah cotterills face doesnt fit with blackwell does it

southampton probably didnt give us the chance to keep him till end of season because he wasnt being played simple...all these loanees are pointless as they are squad players

You have to ask yourself why he isn't playing for Southampton? By all accounts, he got the last few games due to finally picking up in training.

As for Cotts face not fitting, he bought him didn't he!? Its more down to under performing and ignoring instructions.

Cotterill has not had a chance, how can you expect someone to get any form together when they play 45 minutes a month

He's had chances and Blackwell also sees him day in day out in training.

How much of a chance would you give him?

There's a difference between form and taking responsibility for your job on the pitch.

I'd love him to play week in week out putting in the kind of performances he did last season. Problem is, he hasn't looked like doing that in the slightest.

Still with Dyer going back, perhaps he'll now get a run in the side, depending on if there are any planned incomings in his position.

Err, no, a chance is a run of 4 or 5 games in the team, like everyone else has had!

He's started 5 and come on as a sub in 6. Not all consecutive.

Similar to Henderson and Spring, who you've decided are shit and a waste of space?

i can only find 4 of his starts before i got bored of looking

but his minutes on the pitch from starting

64
84
45
29

all of which games are just dotted in random places around the season

yeah great chance that

Dyer's reasoning

"Swansea are the Arsenal of the Championship and their style was the main attraction for me," said Dyer.

I'm very pleased to join, it's a great club and a great set-up," said Dyer.

"The manager told me how much he wanted me to come down and play and their brand of football was the key factor for my decision, their style is amazing.

"And I want to play some football."

how many 90 mins has he played?

So you'd play his the whole game no matter how he performs in the first, 29, 45, 64 or 85 minutes?

He should get a run of 4/5 games yes?
Dyer's first start provided us with a goal, and so he continued to play. Cotts provided very little and so doesn't play.
With regards to the comment about the games being 'dotted around', well maybe Blackie's not as tactically inept as some claim and he recognises the need for different players to play against different teams - depending on style, tempo, ability, skill etc.

Utterly pissed off that we couldn't keep Dyer. I do hope Blackwell tried. As for Cotterill, I agree players need a run on the pitch to prove their worth and he hasn't had that. Yes, I accept he's probably not been putting it in in training but we know he has the ability and so does Blackwell and I don't think you can properly judge a player's form until you see him on the pitch in a run of two or three games. It's a tricky one for Blackwell to call but he's shown he has the balls to make pretty strong decisions - why not give him a prolonged chance?

thing is though when you get a chance you have to take it and pull your finger out to stay in the team. Cotterill hasn't been doing that to deserve a second game in a row..... Huddersfield away?
