Bruce Millington, former editor of the Racing Post, still has a weekly column and today’s contains his Premier League predictions. He has United to finish fourteenth:
“One of this column’s favourite mantras is that team spirit is the most underrated quality in football and I believe Sheffield United will prove that this season by staying up with a blend of grit and quality. Chris Wilder looks just the sort of manager to get them fighting for everything from first whistle to last.”
He tips Brighton, Newcastle and Norwich to go down with his own team, Palace, to finish seventeenth.
