Even after he scores the winner, it seems a bit frosty/formal post-match on the pitch.

Not a conspiracy, just a fact!

I’ve questioned Wilder’s handling of Brooks but the proof of the pudding is in the eating: the kid’s in the form of his life. You sort of have to give Wilder the benefit of the doubt at this point.
We will see how good the pudding is this summer

Brooks playing the full game and Chong/Ogbene cant get a game. Can tell CW hates Brooksy.

Its going well, go on pal.
Never quite understood Chong or as Wilder calls him Chongy, in interview CW always credits him for this and that but not any evidence yet of it on the pitch. Not sure if it was a mind game tactic, in a sense I guess better than slagging him off but even still up there with one of the worst summer signings

I know Wilder rates him, I overheard a conversation a year ago where he said that it wasn’t Blaster they thought would make it but Brooks.

Doesn’t change my mind that they aren’t a natural fit though.

Not that it matters as long as Brooks keeps playing like this

Seriki had a bit of a dodgy game and wilder shook his hand almost immediately after the final whistle.

Load of crap, who has managed brooks to what he is now ? And Seriki for that matter.
You are correct, but let’s not forget the huge part that Hecky also played in the development of this crop of youngsters. That isn’t to take anything away from Wilder for his management of them, but it has been a team effort.

As much as I agree with your point mate, loved the comment for the fact you used the phrase correctly!! :)

Regardless of what he tells us as fans, or what he says to the press... is he getting the best out of him? Seriki too?
I think the guy knows what he's doing.

Remember his first game back Vs Liverpool. Started Brooks. Who then had a decent spell in our team in difficult circumstances.
Arblaster came back and then looked the part.

Brooks has come on a lot this season and Wilder has alot to do with that.

What we need though is to get him and Seriki on longer deals.

Their winger was good and caused Femi problems all game, but he stuck at it and improved second half

Yes I agree was just pointing out an observation that it wasn’t his best game since his breakthrough and yet Wilder still shook his hand immediately after the final whistle.

If he really disliked Brooks / Seriki / young / black / religious men like we’ve seen claimed on here previously then surely that wouldn’t have happened.

I think Wilder realises the potential of both players and adopts the tough love approach with them on occasion because he wants the best for his players / club.

Im not the worlds biggest wilder fan either.

I think Seriki enjoyed the battle today. Two very similar players - both young, strong, quick, skilful. I actually enjoyed watching Seriki's approach to it, I think he learned a lot from the Stoke game against Manhoef and improved a lot from it.
