Well knownBlade
There's not much to be said that hasn't already been said about the Blade's performance against Rotherham.
It must have been so encouraging for the young lads signed up for the Academy, their parents, and indeed the parents of youngsters hoping to make the grade and sign up for the right club.
IMO that is the most important take from tonights game. We have had a host of previous managers, who, would rather have slit their wrists, than give a chance to an enthusiastic youngster. How many were ready to take their chance but rebuffed by management.
Would I have advised a talented youngster to sign for us under previous regimes? Possibly not.
Would I do so with the set up we have now. Parents see what is available and the actions taken by Nigel Clough, and his staff. It shows that we, as a club are ready and willing to give the stars of the future an early start. That is if they work hard and show that they are worthy. Long may it continue.
