Right lads and lasses I know its tough being a blade at the min (well its been tough for a good few year now but nevermind) but I re read the below quote the other day and it cheered me up a bit so I thought I'd share.

"What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love." Sir Bobby Robson.

Keep the faith. UTB

The fact that that mythical small boy, wearing a blue & white striped shirt, can climb up the (massive) steps at Swillsborough and see his beloved side win 3-0 & solidify a play-off spot, while the poor young bastard wearing the red & white striped top wearily climbs up his kop steps thinking "what the fuck am I doing here?" sort of shits on Bobby's words right now.

Not that he's wrong, just very difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel at present.

I feel your pain mate, but it will get better.... someday....hopefully.... pray God
