Deane – The Bladeometer is almost off the scale. Lashings of Bladey Bladesness. Rating: 10

Morgan – Tough as nails and epitomizes what being a Blade is all about. Rating: 10

Warnock – Still has high Bladey Bladesness, despite some claiming that he used an approach by Portsmouth to get a better contract. Rating: 9

Sabella – A Blade who got his team to the World Cup Final. What’s not to like? Rating: 9

McCall – Almost as tough as Morgan and a former player who gave his all for the Blades. Rating: 8

Derry – Former Blades player who knows what success is all about: Rating: 7

Bruce – former Blades manager, who also knows what success is all about. And he might bring Harry and Quinny back with him. Rating: 7

Wilson - Bladey Bladesness tinged by a whiff of pork. Rating: 5

What about Jessica Ennis-Hill? Ticks a few boxes, born in Sheffield, lives in Sheffield, can run fast, has a stand named after her, got to be a 6 surely?

Jess Ennis Hill – Blades-supporting Olympic medalist and McCabe favourite, Ennis-Hill’s lack of football knowledge is more than compensated for by her massive Bladey-Bladesness. Despite not knowing too much about football, she knows what success is all about. Who’s to say our Jess couldn’t do a Clive Woodward-style switch of sports and bring the glory days back to Bramall Lane? Rating: 8

Strong rumours circulating that Sheffield Blade and boxing hot shot, Kell Brook, is set to join Ennis-Hill's back room staff

You forgot Mickey Adams...

..

Adams: A denim and Doc-Marten-clad “Alehouse Mickey” used to stand on the kop with Warnock in the 70’s, and he’s always said that managing the Blades would be his “dream job”. His first stint at the Lane didn’t go according to plan but he is a big Blades fan and will have learnt a lot since his last tenure in the hot seat. Does he deserve another chance? Fans will be divided but one thing’s for sure - Bladey Bladesness abounds, and with Adams in charge, hoofing our way out of League One will be a top priority. Rating - 9

Also, crucially, already has his own song

"...one Mickey Adams, there's only one Mickey Adams, one Mickey Aaaaadaaammms, there's only one Mickey Adams..."

Keith Edwards: A former Blades striker of some pedigree, he’s always hinted that he would be interested in a managerial challenge at his former club. Radio Sheffield listeners will already be familiar with his tactical nous as well as his health and dating problems. A Blades team under Edwards would be encouraged to “get it upfield” and make crunching tackles that there was “nothing wrong with” in the 1970’s. His lack of management experience will be offset by bucketloads of Bladey Bladesness. Rating: 8

Curtis Woodhouse?
