Despite the typically sycophantic interviewer , Wilder was honest enough to admit that the first 20 mins (30 but who's counting) we
"... played backwards and sideways and invited their press on ..."

I wish that interviewers wouldn't be so scared of Wilder.
It is ok to ask why WBA were so on top in the first period.

Then of course , spend as long as you like buttering him up with the 2 great goals and the youth of the team and the unlucky equaliser and a great point away at a good club.

When Burrows was interviewed , he too mentioned the fact that we didn't really play until 1-0 down , " ... which shouldn't happen..."

I'm far more confident in a team & manager that can address these things than one which avoids talking about them in the hope that no one noticed.

Because then you know that the issues will be tackled away from the lights.

I fully accept the point that the youngsters are "learning whilst at the top" - in fact I said the same on another thread - which is why I hope we can make a bit more use of Davies (150 PL games) and perhaps get some reinforcements in January.
