Love the gall of the Shrewsbury goalscorer to tell the home crowd to shush when they're a goal down wi nine men.

Unfortunately we shouldn't have been in that position.

Maybe so, but we still had 11!! v 9!!
We should be capitalising on these games.

We should be capitalising on these games.

I think we did - 3 points!

I take your point though - I don't think I've seen a more one sided game at BDTBL. Shrews NEVER threatened us all game, apart from the one chance/one goal, and that happens. We were brilliant today but should have scored more and probably would have but for their keeper and a 9 man bus.

First half performance, I agree, second half I think we wandered from the path a little, I know the substitutions were more forced than chosen, but we should still be dealing with and dispatching a side like that with more ease than we did.
I'm taking positives and negatives from the game.
Biggest positive being "we've got Chrissy Wilder!"

Coutts is lucky he was drawing his leg back to strike the ball when contact was made and thus buffering some of the impact.
If he had been stood with his weight on that leg it would have been horrific

What is daft is that I have seen that kind of challenge before and a player not even get booked for it.

From the kop the first half felt like some of the good days of old but without the singing, not sure why there is so little singing these days.

Second half we stopped doing the good things of the first but what puzzled me was putting Eubanks out on the right wing when it looked likely the only chance the Shrews had of scoring would be something hoofed down the middle and where Eurbanks had looked so solid. I have faith though as we got the right result.

Sharp and Scougall, my boys. Two players who I defended to the hilt earlier in the season yet again proving why I was right to do so.

There was a new law brought in at the start of the season

CHANGE 4: Treating injuries
joe-ledley-crystal-palace-injury_3464287.jpg

Players will be able to receive treatment quickly on the pitch if they are injured in a challenge that results in a yellow or red card
If a player is fouled and hurt by an opponent who subsequently receives a yellow or red card for the challenge, the injured player may be quickly treated on the pitch without the need to leave the field of play.

It was widely seen as unfair that a player injured by a serious foul was forced off the pitch for treatment, temporarily placing the fouled team at a numerical disadvantage.

Coutts was made to leave the pitch and ten come back on after that psycho went through on him. Doesn't this law apply in League one?

A defensive masterclass from Shrewsbury for Sharp's goal.

No pressure on EEL who received it from Moore.

No pressure on Fleck who's our best passer.

High defensive line.

Nobody anywhere near Sharp, our main goalscorer.

And that was with 11 men.

Looking at that, the first Red card might be for something he said and nothing to do with them moaning about double jeopardy

Yeah it looked like he said something to the ref well before red card came out.
