Our last defeat to Gillingham was a 1-4 loss on 14th April 2001,since that game our record against them is DWDDDWWD.
The last meeting of the teams was a 0-0 draw on 6th November 2004 at BDTBL and Darius Henderson was up front for them and Nosworthy at the back!
In the above 1-4 defeat,2 of their goals were scored by Marlon King!(when he was fit/not over the hill) :)
Paul Shaw also scored in the above defeat, but later signed for Blades and he scored 2 for us against Gillingham in a 3-1 win away in 2004.

i vaguely remember us being on the telly against them a while back-away,and my mum was interviewed on sky before the game.
Am i right in thinking we had a greasy haired italian left back playing for us in that game??

In the 83-84 promotion season (The Hull / Burnley one) we opened up against Gillingham and won 4-0. Edwards was on fire and scored all 4 despite being marked by a young Steve Bruce.

I also recall a 1-0 home defeat in Feb 81 in front of 8000. Everyone says Port Vale under Heath was the low point but this was it for me. Team included Garner, Tibbott and Houston who were all left backs. We were relegated to Div 4 at the end of the season.

So if we pick Williams, Hill, McGinty, Lappin, White and Johns and lose 1-0 today, then history indicates where we are heading.

Emaunele Gabrieli. it was during the 2004-05 season

Gerry Summers managed Gills and Alan Hodgkinson was his assistant. In Nov 1979, Gerry said he was confident of beating us at BDTBL after watching us lose 2-0 at home to Brentford . He was wrong as we won 4-0

I seem to remember playing them in about 90 degrees heat in the opening game one year

I think we beat them 3-0 away on Sky once, Peschisolido got a hat trick but the real star of the show was Wayne Allison who had a hand in all the goals.
