Wasn't able to watch the match as I had family visiting today (pfft) but judging by those highlights we were bloody unlucky to come away with a point.

Archer and Hammer are looking very good, I've been bitching for years (yes even when Illy was here) that we didn't have many players willing to smack it from the edge of the box, well I mean Norwood tries bless him but they only come off once every blue moon.

I kept an eye on the shout box and from what I read we got a pasting? Going forward we seem to look like something of a threat now, perhaps defensively we need work but with the amount of new faces in the squad, a bit of gel time and we could be a good contender for survival this season. Not the result I wanted but not the worst outcome. Let the boys build on this. We've some tough fixtures ahead but look at the way we reacted to City, Hecky loves a big team game so one at a time ladies and gents.

TBF Everton were the better side for long periods a draw was about right as despite that we had the better chances.

My worry is how much stronger and more athletic ever other side looks.. even today Everton one of the poorest teams in the league were a yard quicker all over the park,

Let's see where the lads are in a couple more games. There's a bit of adjustment required to the new level.

Most, me included, said the season starts here,we got a point and nearly won at the end, give them all a couple of weeks to gel in the break and we'll improve

In fairness you'll struggle to find a more athletic three in midfield in the whole of the prem than Doucore, Gueye, Onana. Couple that with Dyche's demands on fitness we were always going to be chasing shadows in midfield on Saturday.
