I'm not disheartened by this result at all and I hope you all feel likewise. We go again on Saturday against Swindon.
Up the mighty Blades!

1. Their disallowed goal was a goal.
2. How did scougall miss?
3. Gary Madine still has a face I'd love to smash to pieces.

4. Ramsdale made some very good saves.

Gary Madine does need a good slap.

1. Don't think it was over the line
2. The reserves had a go but it showed that we need the first team out in the league
3. Hopefully that's the end of the form dip
4. That woman commentating is very irritating
You're kidding with 1 mate. It's well over.

Ramsdale looked excellent today, made some great saves and his reaction to the 3rd goal (handing out a good old bollocking) shows that he's a commanding presence and has authority. He's also an England regular and is clearly very confident. And at the age of 18, he's only going to get better. Quite possibly the next big talent to come from our youth set up.

I didn't really hear what she said. Just sounded like nagging.

How do you know the ball had crossed the line it was close but with no goal line technology no one can judge ,sorry does jehovah mean god ?

I don't want to be too critical, but I'd say he was good rather than excellent. His double-save comes after some hesitancy to come for the initial cross (which I think Moore would have got something on). It was a good double-stop though. He has no chance in my view on the finishes for the goals, but the crucial second comes initially from an error on him failing to deal with a back-pass properly. That's followed with a lack of urgency of others to react, and a great finish, but it was a basic error in the first instance to gift Bolton the ball in a dangerous area.

Still, hoping he has a successful future with us.

And be sold

If we had been denied a goal like that I would have be pissed off as well.

I've seen United "score" 3 times like that and it not be given (Grimsby 1984-5, Palace 92-93, Coventry 2001-2), but that's the first time I've seen it happen in our favour.

And of course, it happened in a game we lost anyway.

The camera angle gives the impression the ball is over the line, no way from that angle can you say with any certainty that it was a goal.
Don't understand this flirtation with Bolton they won the game, the one that counts is at the Lane in February

Cockerill, Deane and who was the other one?

I was there and had an excellent angle ,it was definitely over ,the linesman was a proper duckegg all game. We had a couple of players who aren't up to it ,and if that's their best team we have nothing to worry about.

What I thought yesterday showed quite well is that we do indeed have a few people who aren't up to it - Brown, Hussey, Clarke and Lavery seem not to be as good as some players who didn't play yesterday. We missed Wright and EEL badly at the back.

What this all means is that I think we have a good first XI but once you get past a couple of players who are having good seasons filling in where needed or doing well off the bench (notably Scougall, who didn't have his best game yesterday unfortunately) the squad is a bit thin. Wilder has done well to find his team and, injuries aside, stick with it. If EEL goes back or one of the key men is out for months as opposed to a couple of weeks, that will be a problem.

I thought Ramsdale looked a decent prospect. Good reflex saves and seems brave. Pleased that he gained in confidence and started to come for corners in the second half. He's on the small side (United prospects usually are) but he might grow I suppose. Poor distribution for the second but it was more a defensive error than his mistake. Encouraging.

Ramsdale is 6 ft 3 so not on the small side,at 18 he will fill out a bit but his athletism and goalkeeping is not in question. He maybe has to accept some responsibility for 2nd goal as it was a loose pass out and he didn't read the situation properly, one or too of our players also sleeping and not sensing the danger..He's going to be some goalkeeper, got his chance early as playing for England makes him a target for premiership clubs they would have pinched him if we hadn't pushed him through quickly ,good management by the blades.

Agree with all that ,but think I see something in Lavery ,I reckon he will come good.
Regarding the post below ,if Ramsdale is 6'3 Ive got a 10 inch nob.

With all the money the Football League has they should ensure all football league clubs have goal line technology in my opinion instead of just concentration on the top league
