I think we have to be realistic, at this stage, we've made one loan signing of a goalkeeper to replace a very good keeper we had last season. So in many ways Henderson is an unknown, certainly at this level.

Yes Coutts, Brooks and Ched will be coming back after long spells out last season, but we've also not recruited the strikers which Wilder was reported to have been needing.

So what have we actually done since the end of the season to move from 9-10th place into 3rd place?

The table prediction has the likes of Derby, Preston, Millwall, Bristol C, Brentford all down in the bottom half, but again they ran the play offs close like we did.

I can see us getting closer to the play offs next season, but thats more through experience we've gained. That said, our surprise factor has gone now as we're an established Championship side rather than promotion newbies.

Ask me again before the first game of the season and lets see how things are looking

Being of a pessimistic bent when it comes to the Blades I’m assuming there will be departures from the club afore the season starts. If there aren’t, wheyheey !!. Should be a good ‘un, even better with a couple or three new signings. Any team with the likes of Jack O, Fleck, and Brooks just has to be worth watching. Personally can’t wait and, despite being in France currently, may take in a couple of pre season friendlies.

Stoke to finish top ? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ..........

Seem almost certain to lose their three best players and the rest are mainly fair to shit, apart from Crouchy

:p:p:p

it was 23rd when I posted it, now says 7th.

Looks like the pigs fans started voting on it before we were aware of it!

Now they are 23rd after being 5th when I posted it

There's every chance we'll finish 3rd.

Tin hat on.

Come on, shoot me.

Pigs 11th?

Shurely shome massive mistake?
They will be tired after winning the world cup, FA CUP, the league, Carabao cup, champions league, the UEFA cup, Wimbledon, the French open, the Tour'de France, the Daytona 500, le Mans 24hr, the Dakar Rally and world rally championship, oh and the Eckington Swimming gala!!!!

Oh dear, if you're not optimistic we really are in trouble!
It’s not that I’m not going to be optimistic, but I just don’t see how over the summer we’ve transformed from being upper midtable finishers to 3rd place when all we’ve done is sign a replacement keeper

Now you're being silly. They haven't even entered the Swimming Gala.

Where is the actual Sky link? Looks like a made up prediction table. Clearly the 900k wendy fans have note yet voted.

If we could bottle all the positive energy on this thread then we could achieve National league status in a couple of years.

Bladey Inferiority Complex alive and well. No wonder it’s like a library at the Lane.

Wigan are well equipped to make a challenge for the playoffs, I'd say. How they afforded the majority of that squad in L1 is beyond me though.

How does the 9 wins since November put us third next season - now we've sold the £15m man?

I agree that's a very optimistic prediction, but we've still got the rest of the squad you know.

Thats a squad that delivered relegation form since losing Coutts. Number 1 target has to be a Coutts upgrade/back up, to firm up the midfield and deliver the tap ins for Clarke/Sharpe.
